I spent a great deal of time researching a few of the products that only GNC offers. I was very happy with the reviews, of the products online. What I ruined everything for me is my experience with their stores. Forget the time you spend researching and pricing online. Those prices are null and void in the stores. They will not honor their own online pricing. Not just at this location but also their Roscoe Village location and their Southport Location. Maybe others as well. They would rather lose the customer than honor their advertised prices. Then I find out that they may honor the pricing if I am willing to wait for a mysterious manager to call back. In all three locations their was not ONE employee who was given the power to make a decision to appease a customer. Each location had to make phone calls trying to reach a manager. I spent over 24 hours wasted trying to actually purchase their products at the prices advertised. At this point the prices are no longer available and all has been wasted. The excuse(not explanation — there is a huge difference) is online pricing is lower because you have to wait 5 days to get it. First what kind of company takes 5 days to deliver online orders? Most every other companies out there honor their own advertised pricing. The biggest complaint is the fact that each store has different pricing and each store has NO Employee who has the ability to make a decision. Now I have the spend the time again to find a product that will offer the same benefits that the ones I was looking to get at any place else other than GNC. BTW: the products were something that I would have had to keep re-buying on a monthly or sooner basis… All revenue that these stores now will lose out on. I’ll take my wallet somewhere else and I suggest to others, do your research and watch those prices… they differ from each location and online. Don’t get taken! And if the manager actually got in touch with me from one of those locations they may have avoided my complaint and may have earned my business.

I have been going to this GNC for a while now, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. The employees are always very helpful and answer any questions I may have. They are knowledgeable about the products and have helped me find the right supplements for my lifestyle. I have been taking some of the products for months now, and I definitely feel better — mentally and physically.

I’ve been going to this store for 3 years, and the staff is generally knowledgeable. It is a Sat night, and the website shows them open until 10p. I walked over there, lights on and nobody home. No sign, thought the kid may have gone to grab dinner… so I waited. Nobody showed up. So I called the store number, nobody answered. WTF! Why post info in your website? I buy a lot of stuff from you, do deserve this? No! I can’t order everything online, but guess i’ll have to since I cannot trust this store to ever be open!

I have been going to this gnc for about 8 years. I am a gold card member the prices are great as long as you are a gold card member. For the most part the staff. Is very knowledgeable. I’ve only had a problem once which was when one of the staff didn’t renew my membership card with the free renewal coupon that I brought in. The manager acted as if he had never seen me or rung me up before. That was a little Disappointing, but doesn’t deserve a rating for that one experience. Still one of my favorite Vitamins shops.

Been meaning to write this for a while. Finally decided to because I just came back from a different vitamin/nutrition store and made me remember how bad my experience was here. I’ve been to this location maybe 3 or 4 times. Everytime it’s the same treatment, I won’t be going back. My biggest issue here is it’s full of guys trying to push you and sell you anything. You come in here to just buy some protein and them they start asking you if you use other stuff and pushing products on you. It’s super annoying and I’m not trying to break my wallet on your useless overpriced supplements. Note to staff: while you may make a few extra sales here and there, you have lost my business permanently and likely others due to your aggressive sales strategies. I buy products regularly, and businesses survive off repeat customers. My repeat business will go to other helpful stores.

The products are your standard vitamin-toting, protein-jacked items. I was perfectly satisfied with the merchandise, however, be forewarned that the manager is very pushy about getting you to sign for a gold card. I am reluctant to return out of dread for yet another round of sales pitching.
