The garden goddess wrap with goat cheese is phenomenal and actually very filling. Also, a tad overpriced, but there aren’t too many other lunch options in this area. I also love the turkey twist. And they carry Jeni’s ice cream here, woohoo!

I used to go to Goddess in Streeterville all of the time and I loved it because things were made fresh to order, and they had a great variety of options. They must have had a management change because this location is awful. I only go here because Snarfs in my building is so god awful, but honestly I feel like this is just a pricier version of Snarfs. The food is good, I usually order the Chicken club sandwich or the chicken chopped salad, the salad is pre made, and OK. I decided on my B day to order a slice of cake, and the girl didn’t even slice it fresh from the cake, she just pointed to the refrigerated section and I had to get my own pre sliced piece, and it was dry. Wasn’t too impressed, and their drinks are incredibly over priced, almost $ 2 for a canned drink, seriously? The service is awful. They do make some of the sandwiches fresh, but they are slow AF, and they just put your sandwich down without any napkins or flat ware. do you have to get up and walk across the restaurant yourself. And they are not very friendly either. I was trying to decide what to order one day, no one was in line behind me, and the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes at me like a 12 year old. I was pretty annoyed and she didn’t offer any suggestions either. For the price, it’s not that worth it.

Very slow, very expensive and absolutely no value here — its upsetting standing in lines when theres an open register and 6 employees just chatting and doing nothing in the background — they frequently mess orders up — yeah i understand its cool to have hipsters run your business but when they are all dumb as rocks its not that cool anymore — the only reason why people come here is because its literally the ONLY option in this neighborhood

Ever since they changed the menu, replaced management and hired new people, this place is almost as bad as Snarfs. So much that it sucks bad. I haven’t been in a while and unfortunately, missed the food trucks outside our office, so I thought what the hell… I’ll try again. I ordered the special Banh Mi sammich and the baguette was literally 3.5″…the cost was $ 9.60!!! I have never returned an item like this before and since I got it to go, I didn’t have time to run back over there. I work in an office of 300 people, our company and myself won’t be going back.

This whole crew is solid! I’m in here pretty much every day because I have zero self control(coffee, amiright?) and work in the building across the street. I’ve grown to be friends with the crew, which is huge for me because I generally don’t like people.(Kidding– or am I?)(I’m not kidding) I have never had a mediocre experience, and I’m often here in peak hours when it’s crazy busy. Everyone is always super happy and pleasant(no matter what the time), it’s super clean, and I never have to wait long for anything. Most of the time I don’t have to wait at all. They already know what I want and make good suggestions when I wanna change things up. I don’t think a lot of people acknowledge the hard work it takes to have businesses like this run smoothly. From management to cashiers this is definitely one of the most well run places I’ve been to. Can you give these people raises? Can I give these people raises? How does this work? Let’s do this together. Aaanyway– I’m glad these are the first people I get to interact with in the morning! Thanks for all you do! You’re appreciated. :)

They’re overpriced but some items are worth trying(and don’t buy any kind of drink — $ 3 for Honest Tea? No thanks, I’ll get them at Jewel for $ 1). The following are in order from best to worst: Smokin’ Brisket — MUST try! Garden Goddess Wrap Specialty Sandwich: Chicken Fajita wrap One of their specialty sandwiches with egg, bacon, cheese, etc. Debbie’s Egg Salad Sandwich — AWFUL and BLAND! SKIP! As for customer service, the people at the register don’t seem too happy to be there and mumble a lot. However, the guy who gives you your food and asks«Do you want a pickle?»(oh yes I do!) smiles and has always been friendly.

Four stars for the delicious food, clean bathrooms, a huge selection of so many tasty looking things, rainbow cake and don’t forget the free wifi! The price for the food is a tad on the $$$$$ side and the staff wasn’t so friendly and I really was hoping they would be! How could you not be with rainbow cake around?

I’m here visiting and my husband went to Goddess for ice cream an hour before closing. The employee wouldn’t let him in. They made a decision to close early– REALLY? They turned away another patron who drove there. It’s nice to be independently wealthy.

Great sandwich makers. 10⁄10 Would go again. Id recommend people to come here especially in the mornings. The sandwiches were hot and ready and made quickly. Worth your money!

I will start off by saying that the food is delicious… when they have it. More frequently than not this location is missing key ingredients for multiple menu items. My best piece of advice for Goddess is to get your supply chain in order, as I constantly leave Goddess frustrated and hungry. I have had many great meals from Goddess, but the first thing that comes to mind now is how often they have left me disappointed.

This place blows. Super expensive and over rated. You couldn’t pay me to go back.

Highlights — they have very good service, a cute interior design, and a wide and interesting selection of food, deli items, wine and beer. Downside — wayyyy to expensive, their goods should not cost as much as they do. What I’ve had of their fresh food(not the groceries) has been bland. Overall I’d say go elsewhere if possible.

This Goddess and Grocer used to be a very solid addition to the Near North location on Larabee, even though the prices were always pretty high. But this store has gone down hill BIGTIME over the past 6 months. The sandwiches are not nicely prepared anymore and I expect top quality when I’m paying $ 10 for one. The people who work here are usually nice, but they know next to nothing about the products they’re selling. Very unimpressed.

Great overpriced sandwiches. I’ve had some many of them with my favorite being the 3 cheese melt with tomato and a close second is the wicker park. Fast service, I would recommend calling or ordering online if it’s around lunch time. The salads are great too!

Goddess is very close to home and work so its convenient to stop in. I’ve eaten everything from breakfast to dinner here and loved all the food. I’ve never eaten anything sub par. The service on the other hand… People who take your order often forget what you JUST ordered from the coffee bar, pack up food early before closing and are just generally spacey. So a word of advice, don’t come if its the hour before closing and be proactive about getting your coffee. Other than that enjoy! The egg salad sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken wrap are real winners. Would be a solid 5 stars except for the way spotty service.

Yummy desserts and food. We love the soups here, but a little on the salty side. Most of the staff members are friendly. We love coming here for a quick bite, lunch or dessert. Clean establishment. A little over priced for what it is. They should only keep baked goods out for 2 days not 3 or 4; starts to taste stale. Love that they have some seating on the sidewalk when weather is warm.

Quality did a downhill freefall on their delivery to our office today. Stale bread that you can break a tooth on anyone? These sandwiches aren’t cheap, so why would they throw fresh roast beef and aged cheddar cheese on day old bread? Your guess is as good as mine. This was a free lunch, but as momma always said about free lunches…

I was here for lunch the other day, and the line was out the door but moved very quickly. Service was friendly and professional, my sandwich was made very quickly and exactly the way I wanted it(no tomatoes, no mayo and on a different kind of bread — I know, I’m a picky eater). The sandwich itself was fresh and delicious both when I ate the first half(immediately) and when I ate the second half(three hours later). Definitely coming back here — and if you follow them on Instagram and tag them in a picture, they’ll give you a free brownie!

Like the location on Damen, the food at Goddess is great… it’s the prices that are too tough for me to regularly stomach. That’s why I jumped on a Gilt City deal a few months ago for a $ 25 voucher(think I paid $ 15), since that brought it more in line with reality. Yesterday I tried a turkey sausage breakfast burrito and an egg sandwich on a butter croissant with a bit too much mozzarella; both were tasty. But adding one additional burrito and a small granola(literally for a four-year-old child) came in at almost exactly $ 25, a little pricey for hitting the corner(high-end) deli. Goddess is a great place to buy random food gifts for friends, but to regularly eat here, I’d skip this. Or, just be rich… then there’s no sting attached to a $ 7 take-out burrito!
