I have super curly hair, which I love, but sometimes I like to get a blowout for special events. I’ve been to several blow dry bars in Chicago and Goldplaited without a doubt gave me the best blowout I’ve ever had. The location was cute, but I felt like something was lacking a bit ambiance wise. Maybe it was that my stylist could have been a bit friendlier. Maybe a cocktail would have helped ;) But regardless I walked out looking (at least hair wise) and feeling like a supermodel and couldn’t have been happier. I’ll definitely be back.

had an excellent experience with Goldplaited on NYE. They were packed but made sure my friends and I were well taken care of. I had an issues with my updo coming undone when I went home. I called and they got me in right away to fix it and I had no problems the rest of the night. Thanks for everything!

Amazing– Braids, blowouts, customer service, ambiance, cleanliness, I can rave about Goldplaited all day. You can not go wrong by going there. Their prices are reasonable, so seriously make an appointment ASAP! You won’t regret it.

I had to choose a place last minute for my wedding (my stylist cancelled our trial twice!) Mal at Goldplaited was very quick to help me and squeezed me in a week before my date! My hair came out perfect and lasted all night. My stylist listened and delivered!

Goldplaited is the best! I had both my hair and makeup done for a variety of bridal activities and I was super happy with how both turned out every time. I had a very small, simple wedding and had considered doing my hair/​makeup on my own, but am so glad I didn’t. They coordinated dates/​times with me and made sure my special day was perfect. I definitely would recommend Goldplaited to friends and family.

What an amazing experience I’ve had 3x at Goldplaited! I’m usually not one up have my hair and makeup done unless it’s a really disbursing occasion, but the prices and service make me want to continue to go there. From the owners Mal and Corinna to the stylists to the make up artists, I feel pampered from the minute I arrive until I leave. I can make my look as natural to glam as I want depending on what I’m doing that day or night. Goldplaited is the best. Thank you ladies!

Absolutely love this place’s Prep Pass for unlimited blowouts Sunday — Thursday for just $ 78/​month (plus $ 8 automatic gratuity for your stylist). I can make my appointments online so easily and there’s always availability for when I’m looking to get styled.
There are about 3 stylists that are consistently there, so you know they’re good with as many heads of hair that come in and out of this place, so they’ve had their training! Whether you want a standard straight of volume blowout, or are looking to do something wavy or curly with an iron, these girls can figure it out for you.

Goldplaited is known for their amazing blowouts, dry styles, and makeup, but I would highly recommend any brides looking for beauty services to use them! I wasn’t getting ready in a hotel room or special spot where beauty pros could come to us, but I knew I wanted it to be more fun than filing people in and out of a typical salon. After discussing pricing and options with Mal, I was able to book the entire space at a really reasonable price to get myself & bridal party prettied up for the busy day ahead. Mal even helped figure out the best time block out to make the most of the time schedule for the day!
The space was perfect for my group of eight, but could accommodate more. We were able to bring in food and drinks, which gave the entire morning a laid back brunch feel while we got gussied up. There is even an adorable back room where the group was able to relax while not in a chair getting ready!
And last but definitely not least — we all left looking AMAZING. Never have I felt so gorgeous as that day (followed only by my fantastic trial, which comes with the bridal package), and all the women who came with left with the biggest smiles on their faces. Each one of us got something unique to our personal styles (though we do all love braids and waves!), and the four stylists/​artists that worked with us to make it happen wonderfully. We left Goldplaited at 1pm, and my hair/​makeup stayed perfect through a first look & ceremony (with LOTS of happy tears), photos, and hours of dancing. Krista & Hera (my stylists) and the other two gals who made that magic happen were so lovely and fun to be around, making it easy to relax and have fun!
Overall — Goldplaited gets a billion stars. Thank you for the fun wedding morning, and I can’t wait to come back for more services!

I was able to book a last minute appointment via phone for my bridal shower last weekend! I had my hair blown out to loose curls, my make up done simultaneously (I highly appreciate their efficiency) with lashes as an extra! I don’t typically wear make up on a daily basis and they definitely know how to make a girl look polished and enhanced without looking like a clown. I posted some photos of the bridal shower and someone told me I looked like a movie star! I did leave feeling very glamorous. I am now booking them to do my hair/​make up for my bachelorette AND rehearsal dinner party.
If you haven’t tried their services, do yourself a favor, get the Unilocal deal. You won’t be disappointed. Even without the deal, they are very reasonable! Great service, they hung up my jacket, and offered a beverage immediately before I even parked my derrière in a chair.

Literally just left 2 mins ago and I love my look. I’m not the type of person who takes selfies but I did it as soon as I got to my car.

I’ve been wanting to check Goldplaited out for a long time and a good friend’s wedding this past weekend finally gave me a good excuse.
The online booking system is super easy and efficient and I’d recommend using it to make an appointment. I booked a blowout and when I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by very friendly staffers who took my coat and offered me a beverage. I was a bit disappointed I didn’t get any champagne as others have mentioned in their reviews but hey that’s what the wedding is for, right?
As for the styling experience it was extremely relaxing and they do an amazing job. They start out with a short scalp massage and then take you to get your hair washed. I’m a big fan of an aggressive hair wash and mine was not amazing.
What was amazing though was my the blow out! Goldplaited has photos on their web site of their different styles and and I opted for the wavy look. I have a LOT of very curly hair and I won’t lie I was pretty skeptical of whether the stylist was going to be able to manage my hair and whether it would actually work. Let me tell you I was proven WRONG. The stylist did an amazing job (see pictures) and the style held extremely well throughout a ton of dancing! I also received a ton of compliments.
Goldplaited was pretty amazing and I’d definitely use them for any of your styling needs.
