My usual handyman was not available, but Vince Whitlock had taken over my usual handyman’s clientele. I was not sure how Vince was going to be compared to my usual handyman, but I needed help around my condo and decided to take a chance on Vince. I am so glad I did! Vince runs his own business and knows a lot about construction and handyman work. I needed my bathroom ceiling painted, a bath shower rod installed, electric re-wiring in my bathroom, and wire shelving custom cut and installed to my closets. I emailed Vince and he emailed me back immediately. We scheduled an appointment for an initial consultation so that Vince could see what work I needed him to do exactly and whether he could do it. At consultation, Vince had told me that he could do everything I needed except for re-wiring my light and fan fixture in my bathroom. He said he hired a professional electrician to do electric work. I was glad he had told me this because I was able to find a friend to do that part of work for me. We then scheduled another appointment on when Vince could come and do the work. On the day Vince arrived to do the work, he was punctual and very professional as he had toted with him all the tools he needed to do the work – including a ladder and wire cutter. I appreciated this. I had purchased the materials for Vince and he knew exactly how to prepare everything based on the instructions of the products I had purchased. When my shower rod needed installation, but I did not have the appropriate materials for the installation, Vince helped me by making a run to Home Depot to pick up the correct materials for proper installation. I was so appreciative that he did that for me! When I needed my bathroom ceiling painted, Vince made sure to carve out appropriate time in his schedule between tasks so that he was able to do two coats of paint(instead of one) so that my bathroom would look really good. A great suggestion on his part because I was thinking one layer was good, but two layers of paint looks great on my ceiling now! When my wire shelving needed to be custom cut to my closets, Vince brought his wire cutters and diligently worked at cutting through the really thick shelves. He needed to move my washer/dryer out to install the shelves. I was a little worried about this, but Vince put everything back the way he had found them. Everything was properly installed and the shelves are holding strong and look great! He worked non-stop from 8am to 3:30pm(not including a 30 min lunch break) to get all the work around my condo completed. Vince even offered to come back and fix anything he had installed for free if it was not to my liking or if something goes wrong with them later on. If I need any future work done, I am calling Vince!
