Loved it! Kids loved it as well! You might feel intimidated at first with all the parrots flying around but you quickly realize they’re more afraid of you than you are of them and it all goes well from there. There are several sections so it’s worth the price. First room full of parrots(which you could adopt) second room has bunnies(which you can also adopt) third room is for 3 and under 4th and 5th all ages. One is a pretend play with mini size houses table etc and the other room had train tracks. There’s a hall with cute chairs for the parents to kick back and relax as the children play. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be going there again! Oh there’s no parking that’s the only down side, plenty of street meter parking though! For more information check out my blog.

I love taking my 15-month-old to Happy Play because I find it to be the most engaging play space for her age in the city. There are a lot of options to keep her busy there and she likes going back and forth between the«rooms» to do different activities. She really likes the«climbing» and ball pit room, as well as the play house area. The bunnies are so sweet and docile that she likes to stare at and gently pet them.(I don’t even know if she realizes they’re real yet, ha.) She is still getting used to the bird room, but it’s fun to be able to go in and interact with them. What I like about Happy Play as a mom is that it’s also a nice spot for me to meet up with other friends of little ones and actually be able to have a conversation with my friend while the kids are playing versus chasing them all over a huge space and not actually spending any time with the other adults. There are chairs lined up all along the corridor where you can watch over the kids and see everything. The staff is always very warm and friendly when we enter and never seem to take much«down» time. They are always buzzing about making sure everything is clean or in its place.

I’m puzzled by the comments that this place is not clean. Each time we’ve been I’ve seen someone go into the bird room every hour and clean the floors. The birds mostly stay in one area anyway so it’s not like walking into an Alfred Hitchcock film. The bunnies are very sweet and the employees are great about helping kids interact with them. I like it better than some of the other play places because it’s not too crazy. Some kids won’t be into the animals, but that’s okay. It took my 3 year old a while to warm up to the birds but there are other play spaces she loved in the meantime. If you are curious, I’d give this place a try.

Brought my 6 year old niece here and thought it was great– lots of activities and toys. But then I saw the bird room– gross bird poop everywhere. This could not be safe for children, as bird poop is riddled with diseases that humans can catch. My niece was scared of the birds flying at her, so we went into the rabbit room. The poor bunnies looked so stressed and were not into being pet. I think this would be a good play place without the animals.

Here’s what you need to know: it’s great for families with kids; a simple concept — canaries and rabbits — done really well, with thought and care. We took our 2 year old daughter here with some friends and she absolutely loved the place. They have a canary cage where you can interact freely with the birds, and even feed them out of your hands(see pics). They also have an area for rabbits where you can pet and play with the little guys. There is also a large and fun play area for the kids without any animals around — especially good for pre-toddler age. The staff is just delightful and super inviting. The facility is clean and decorated with vibrant colors and art. It’s always great to see small local businesses, run with passion and love. I will be back with the fam very soon. We paid $ 15 for the kids, which includes the fee for a parent. Additional adults/parent are $ 5.

«Happy Play» is an example of a new«phenomena» of urban play cafes to hit neighborhoods in the city where there’s a high disposable income factor. The main attraction here is the parakeet room which is visible through the front windows and houses 100+ birds. You and your child are given treat sticks and a staff member will accompany you to supervise the play/interaction.(and are more than happy to take pics for you). My son had a great time in the room(9 y/o) although the sheer number of birds is a bit overwhelming… especially for the toddlers. Behind the bird room is a play area with large caged rabbits that children can pet and play with although they were kept in the cages during our visit. There’s also another play area geared more for toddlers with a table-top train and a crawling obstacle course.(did not visit that area) The staff seemed to be very engaged and interacted well with the children. The current price is $ 15 for one adult and child although I do think some of that goes to animal welfare charities. All in all, a great experience for both kids and parents alike !!! A welcome and rewarding change from the movie theater where a SINGLE matinée ticket can be close to $ 15 !!!

I am so excited that there is a play café in my neighborhood! We went for their opening day and had a wonderful time. My daughters loved playing with the bunnies and we were all enchanted and thrilled with the bird room where we got to feed birds and have then perch on us and fly around us. They also have the largest train table I’ve seen. Their area for crawlers and walkers is perfect with so much to delight and explore. We’ll be back for sure!
