Laurie is arguably the best massage i have ever had. I visit Chicago on business and make sure I line her up for a couple of sessions while I’m in town. She has her own unique style that combines deep tissue with Thai massage. She can go incredibly deep and she really understands your body and where your aches and pains are.
She is incredibly diligent, never watches the clock and she is more likely to give you the extra time you need so you leave 100% better. I highly recommend giving her a try.

Laurie is incredible. Such a sweet person and very thorough in her practice. Seriously deep work awaits. Thai in General is my favorite modality and Laurie takes it to another level. There is a reason she had been voted (elsewhere) as the best massage in chicago. So worth the time and expense for this experience. Please read the other hidden reviews for confirmation. Laurie is exceptional.

Harmonious Healing Touch was the most amazing massage and Laurie A. DeMeyer is gifted. It could seem strange walking into someones house and into a small room with a futon filling the space, but Laura makes you feel at home. She is very professional and you quickly warm up to her. You leave 2 hours later feeling as though you have just been on vacation. I highly recommend her.

Laurie is the best. THE BEST. She’s the most intuitive, personable, and skilled message therapist I’ve ever met. She knows exactly where it hurts. She has a wonderful touch. Deep stretches, long massages in an atmosphere of serenity. Caution: you’ll become addicted!

I have to update my review for Laurie at Harmonious Healing Touch Massage to add that extra star. I guess you do not really appreciate what you have until you have to try something else!
I had a pull in my lower back and needed to get «back in the saddle» so to speak ASAP. I went to my favorite Dr Day at Avalon Chiropractic, and then to a massage to someone right in the neighborhood. They did a decent job and all, but it was very «mechanical» and there certainly was no real energy flowing like I get from Laurie.
I went back to see Laurie and now I have to give her the extra star. I would give her 6 stars if they would let me. I should have waited to see Laurie and not gone to a stranger! We all live and learn.

I first saw Laurie last year while recovering from a minor surgery and she was amazing in being able to adapt her modalities (her own variation of Thai Massage) to take account for the surgery while relaxing the rest of my body, erasing a lot or post-​surgical stress and making me feel the best I had since giving up the morphine drip.
I have continued to see her whenever a busy travel schedule allowed and always her good humor, glowing energy and personal vivacity — in addition to and complimenting her considerable skills — leave me in a better place.
If you seek a very down-​to-​earth, personal and non-​sterile interaction with a very skilled and talented masseuse, I would highly recommend her.
