I attended a few Energy Yoga classes taught by Karissa at HiFi Fitness and they were great experiences. I personally have preferred bikram yoga in the past and although this class was a departure from that, it was still a holistic and energizing hour. Karissa is wonderful — she is incredibly friendly and passionate about oriental medicine, and that really comes off in her vibes. First we did some Korean style movements to awaken our bodies, then practiced some less common postures that were invigorating and challenging to my body at the same time. What is nice about this class is that it doesn’t matter what level of yoga that you practice — you can be a beginner or seasoned yoga lover and I’m sure you’ll pick up something new. To top off the class, Karissa offered some amazing delicious tea that I’ll never forget!

Healthy Happy Whole can be described as an interdisciplinary healing community. I met Korina(co-founder of HHW) during her clinical rotation at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she received her medical training. Our bond was unshakable. When Korina graduated, my personal healing journey was in it’s infancy and I was certain that Korina was meant to be in my life. I followed Korina as she developed her private practice and am incredibly grateful for her presence in my life. She has helped me through a variety of life transitions and has been my rock in what has been a stressful period of time for me. Korina’s insight, expertise and gifts are incredible. I feel lucky to know her and to be a part of Healthy Happy Whole. Korina’s husband Barry has an established Martial Arts practice(Jeet Kune Do) and was trained by Jerry Poteet who was directly trained by Bruce Lee. Barry also practices acupuncture, teaches qi gong and tai chi. HHW also offers«energy yoga» taught by Karissa. Karissa is a cute ball of energy whose smile, alone, can transform your day. Thai Body Massage is offered by Carrie whose combined knowledge of Chinese Medicine and massage makes for an incredibly unique and healing practice. I could go on forever – just check out the website for more info. Full disclosure– I serve as the mental health liaison for HHW so while I am connected to the community in some capacity, I would not put anything out there or publish anything online that I do not truly believe in. I don’t profit financially from being a part of the community but the rewards I have gained through being connected with HHW are priceless. HHW is a fun, welcoming community. Come join us!
