The pedicure was awesome — especially when Holly cleaned my nails. My manicure. Was a complete disaster. I feel like i could have done it myself. the person assisting me was on his phone the whole time. Did not clean my nails well, was not gonna clean underneath my nails until i asked him if he was going to clean it. I would not normally complain but i hope they read this, because this is the worst manicure ive had.

Man I wanted to make holly’s work. But there was just too much to force myself to overlook. Sloppy work, no pride in the appearance of the salon, everything too foreverrrr. Holly started having an apprentice do everything including Japanese hair straightening. Disaster. Holly handled it as unprofessionally as if expect and I fixed it at Luna salon. You get what you pay for here.

Strongly technician driven when it comes to polish application and stay power. 2 techs for mani pedi(special $ 30). I like that Holly Beauty opens at 9:30 am weekday(9:00 am on weekends). Cleaning Nails, Cuticle — both were great. No names required. :-) Nail Polish Selection — Opi, Essie, the unknown brand. Decent color selections. Maybe 1 – 2 in trend pastel selection out of 6 trendy. Be proactive if polish needs thinner to avoid clumpy application. Manicure — very happy with results. See photo. Pedi — hit or miss. Need to reapply polish with different colors when I get home. Clumpy polish in 3 coats. Fan and UV light are usually useless. A common mishap with many establishments. Wi-Fi — yay! Venue — typical Saigon establishment. Au natural environmental air. No AC. Great daylight eco bulbs. Cluttered. If you don’t mind replacing your own polish sometimes, try Holly Beauty. I like a good, thorough cleaning. Change of polish is a minor issue for me with the combo price.

The price is right but comes at a cost. Start getting pedicure, they start getting busy. Now I am getting my manicure in my OWN lap with the lady standing next to me and the other lady still doing the pedi. Lady doing mani rips out cuticle and I start bleeding. She convinces me to do a «French manicure»(probably because she couldn’t paint over my bloody nail). Ok, fine. Starts painting«French manicure» which I’m learning is just only painting half the nail one color. «Oh, I forgot to tell you: ‘French manicure’ is $ 5 more.» WUT? Go sit by drying area and employee has headphones in and lyrics on her phone about 4 feet away from me. She sings Celine Dion’s «Because you loved me» off-key 4(four) times. Go to leave, ask for my half-full bubble tea that they moved away from me. They threw it away. Ashton never came out to punk me. I realize I should have just left at the whole cutting a chunk out of my finger part but I’m an idiot. When I contacted them later for a partial refund, specifically for the mani, I never heard back. No.

I gave this place two chances because a friend has been going here for years and insisted it was a great place, but I’m not going back to see if the third time is the charm. I once asked for a candy cane stripe as a cute Christmas manicure. Disaster. The guy doing my nails had to just take it off and I left with just white nails. Should’ve saved the money and done it myself. Then I went in for a brazilian. $ 60 later, I came home and discovered wax between my thigh in a clump the size of a quarter and several spots missed. Yeah, NO. Never again.
