I have always enjoy the Keyclub at Hubbard. So my girlfriend and I figure we check out the restaurant. The menu sounded very appealing so we made a reservation. Everything was a huge disappointment the minute that we walked in. We were 20 minutes early for our reservation and the host told us that we could leave and come back, but that the table is not ready at the moment. So we decided to grab a drink at the bar. They clearly had 3 – 5 tables available the whole time. I have no idea why they made us wait. After they finally decide to sit us our waiter doesn’t even check in with us or brings us water. It literally took 10 minutes for her to even noticed us. We order a bunch of appetizers and a main dish each. The food came all at the same time. I thought the whole purpose of appetizers is to eat it before your main dish arrives. The food was mediocre and lack flavor. Customer service was awful and I wouldn’t recommend this place to friends/family.

If you are planning a group dinner and have a bunch of picky eaters– Hub 51 will have something for everyone! They have great sushi. Salads, burgers, tacos, drinks etc. Plus it’s a lettuce entertain you restaurant!

Cool club with a bar downstairs and dancing upstairs. They have a very reasonable amount of beers on tap and the atmosphere was pretty fun. I hung out downstairs for awhile at a table then headed upstairs for some dancing. I would have given 4* but I hate feeling like I have to tip whenever I use the bathroom. It’s a bit upscale for my taste but it’s a fun place to go out to.

Came here for their Raw Bar happy hour and it was an absolute joke. The seafood quality was horrendous, and the plating was comical — a dozen oysters crammed on a small plate? Why? Not that it mattered since we couldn’t get past their lack of freshness and taste. Had our server been remotely attentive/friendly, we may have opted to try some dishes from their regular menu. Woof.

Nice place on Hubbard. Not a douchey bar compared to others nearby. Too many tables though, it should be a lounge place

Came here for brunch on a Sunday, and the food was still amazing(service was ehh). And I’m actually disappointed that there were barely any people. The food is delicious here!!!

We came here for happy hour after work on a Friday. We arrived early enough that getting a table wasn’t a problem, but as time passed the place started to fill up fast. The happy hour is a raw bar along with $ 8 cocktail of the week and $ 4 beer of the week. When we went the cocktail was a moscow mule. We tried just about everything from the raw bar– crab legs, scallops, oysters, lobster– and it was all good. Drinks were decent for the price. I probably wouldn’t order the moscow mule again at full price, but only because it’s not my usual taste preference. We really enjoyed the menu behind the bar and all the art in the place. The bathrooms are downstairs and you encounter many mirrors, lots of red and more art on your way. We didn’t try anything besides the happy hour specials, so I can’t comment on the rest of the food. We had a good time.

Came here strictly for drinking and the club atmosphere so don’t read it if you’re looking for a food review. My group came in the Friday before Halloween, all dressed in costume, and maybe 1⁄3 of the people out that night at Hubbard were in costume. Definitely thought there would be more, but no biggie. We ended up getting bottle service and had like 3 bottles of absolute I think. Best memory is when the bottle service girls brought in the bottles with sparklers, they set some of the decorations that were hanging from the roof on fire. From what I remembered, it was pretty packed and the DJ played good songs. Definitely got hammered and don’t remember much else. Maybe I’ll come back and try some food sometime.

Wanted to come here for Halloween night. I made a reservation through their website a few prior. I called the restaurant and spoke to a woman who confirmed I had a table and there would be no problems getting in. Our group was 6 people and we wanted dinner and drinks. There was a long line. I talked to the shorter doorman/bouncer who said my name wasn’t even on the list. Apparently making a reservation through the website is pointless. He tells me that I should buy a bottle and he would let our group in. But we didn’t want to all drink one thing. We wanted dinner and cocktails! Frustrated I call the restaurant and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Girl came back and told me to talk to the other doorman. I took my case to him. I tell him I don’t want a bottle and want to have dinner and cocktails. He simply said no and walked away. Annoyed I left… I live around the block. I can go anywhere else. I know all those people in the line didn’t buy bottles or had reservations.

Awesome raw bar happy hour going on here! My buddy started working here and he told me about a new deal they were rolling out and I am always open for an after work deal especially in the Loop/River North area as I work nearby. $ 2 Shrimp $ 2 Crab Legs $ 2 Scallops $ 1 Oysters $ 2 Lobster Cocktail $ 4 selected drafts Hell of a deal and remember its all from the raw bar, so none of this is warmed. The deal is Tues-Fri from 4−7PM The people behind the bar are always cool and get everything to you pretty quick. They made me a pretty nice manhattan that hit the spot. Definitely a must try if you work in the area. I hear they have a nice brunch so will try it out soon.

Hubbard Inn is a very energetic restaurant. They also have an awesome bar with a great selection. We came for my birthday, and despite having a very large party, we had no trouble ordering and moving around so that everybody could talk. The waitress was a champ, and it was probably partly the booze talking, but it seemed like all of the staff is incredibly attractive. The food was great. I think we had almost one of every entrée ordered, and every one was prepared and served in a timely fashion. The waitress also made sure that we were never thirsty, and by the time we left, everybody was having an awesome time. Since it was my birthday, we were also comped a desert which I think gave me diabetes, but was well worth it. The bathrooms are in the basement, and next to them is a charging station which was a life saver. My phone was getting wrecked by texts. The atmosphere is the typical River North young, professional, attractive crowd. I don’t think there is a dress code, but most people were obviously dressing to impress. This would be a good spot for pregaming with some good food.

This place has awesome food, awesome service and a great vibe. A party of 5 of us came here around 4 and there was hardly anyone there. Made me question if this place was as popular as I have heard. Sure enough once 5 hit the place became packed! We ordered some appetizers and drink specials. Chrissy provided some of the best service we’ve ever experienced. We will definitely be back!

I would definitely come back here. We stopped in looking for after dinner drinks and to catch some sports on tv. It is not really a sports bar but it does have tells. It has cool Victorian style furnishings and little rooms off to the side where groups can hang and mingle. The drinks were very well done and properly sized. Did not eat here.

Brunch alert. This place serves pretty damn good brunch. Upon arrival, we were seated asap as it wasn’t packed and had a nice little sidewalk view of Hubbard St. Our adorable server told us about their french pressed coffee and being a litle coffee junkie, I gave it a shot. He accidentally brought us the larger size coffee but comped it because he was just fab. He showed me how to press it and the little sand timer to know when it’s ready. The coffee was phenom. I need to get on that elite coffee status and get me a french press pronto. I believe we also split a mimosa because what’s brunch without an alcoholic beverage? Idk. We then had our food. I had the crab cake benedict and hubby the grilled steak with poached eggs. The benedict came with a mix of purple, sweet and yellow potatoes. YUM! Also, I had just finished spending 6 weeks in baltimore(6 weeks too many) and the crab cake was on par with the fish right out of the Chesapeake bay. It was really really freaking good. Hubby said his steak was a little over charred for his liking but he gobbled it right up. Again, our server was on top of everything and helped us from beginning to end. I will definitely return to try lunch and dinner and anything else going on at HI.

Came here on a Thursday to take advantage of the oyster happy hour special. I was the first customer in there and yet it took 15 minutes to get a water, and even then I had to flag down a busser. Our waitress was very nice but pretty absent. I had to flag her down anytime we needed anything. The venue itself is very nice. Big open space with high ceilings and great woodwork. As for the special we got a ton of oysters, they were small(which is my preference) and very fresh. We also got the shrimp and lobster which were just ok. I plan to go back before summer is over and give it another try.

I came here for happy hour with friends on a Wednesday. I was lured by their seafood happy hour specials. I ordered some oysters(very small, lots of grit, there was a bug underneath one so they brought it back and the chef added one for free), while my friends ordered the shrimp cocktail and lobster cocktail. I was surprised because I thought it would be fancier than getting a cup of chopped lobster or a single shrimp. But I guess what can you do with one shrimp and a cup of sauce? I would go to Joe Fish for their oysters and wine. I do like their outdoor patio though.

The go go to spot for summer nights or even a bite to eat. The ambiance was set up to attract all types of personalities. I never been here during the day, but they serve food as far as I know. I came after after 10 pm… so as you walk in, it might seem loud, but your on the Main Bar floor. They also have a private fireplace lounge area in the back. You will see stairs going up to the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor is more loungy, a great place to chill with friends and enjoy some soft music in the background. The only thing you need to watch out for is that it gets super crowded, especially by the bar, me being short, I get lost in the crowd easily. I love the bar area by the window, decorated beautifully with melted candles! As you continue, you can either take the elevator or the stairs to go up to the 3rd floor(mind you, there is a 4th floor in the elevator but its private residential floor so it’s locked) The third floor is less crowded because this is the club area, the music is loud and fast, the floor is occupied mostly by VIP tables(basically you can’t sit there without a bottle service) you can still stand and enjoy the music around the bar area. I never tried their food here, my next review will be all about the food!!!

This is a great brunch option for locals and visitors. It has an attractive décor and I enjoyed studying the ingredients in the cocktails listed across the blackboard. This made me want to come back for drinks one day. We ordered the lobster omelet, steak and eggs, and a side of cucumber red onion salad. Lobster omelet was loaded with thick cuts of mushrooms and bits of lobster. Though I am supposed to be watching the carbs, I was childishly amazed by with multi-colored breakfast potatoes(purple, sweet, yellow). The steak and eggs was the low carb option as it came with slaw and not toast(yaay!). The cucumber red onion salad was refreshing and it was dressed with some oil, vinegar and parmesan cheese. We also enjoyed our bloody mary’s too. Looking forward to coming back sometime.

Came here with the Groupon deal, and was very disappointed. I didn’t have high hopes to begin with but this was just below par for me. The interiors and décor is very nice and rustic contemporary. We had the mimosas, which was awful, crab cake Benedict, and flat bread pizza. The crab cake Benedict was very smelly; it had a very strong ocean crab smell, it wasn’t fully cooked, and the hollandaise sauce had too much pepper. The flat bread pizza was plain with cheese, literarily tasted like someone put cheese and tomato sauce on some bread. The customer service was terribly slow, and there were long periods of waiting for the attention of our server. I would not be coming back to this place, and the only reason I gave it a 2 star was because the server offered us free strawberry ice-cream, which wasn’t good at all. Over all, extremely disappointed, and also questioning most of the restaurant deals on groupon.
