You’re missing out if you aren’t using Irek and his team to enhance your natural beauty. About a year ago I moved from a salon I used for 6 years and it was the best decision I’ve made! Slawek is amazing with my color and Irek is unmatched in his talent in cutting my hair. Irek’s amazing ability to envision what style works best for you is truly unmatched in my experience with multiple salons. The entire staff is wonderful and customer service is at the forefront of every interaction they bring to the customer. An extra bonus is there is free parking across the street at Home Depot! Don’t wait any longer… call them!

I had an amazing experience at Irek Mar salon! It was recommended to me by a friend after I complemented her new haircut and color. I was greeted like an old friend and attended to the entire time. Watching Slawi (the colorist) and Irek (the stylist) work on me was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. While waiting for my color to set, Aga touched up my eyebrows — a little henna and hot wax — they have never looked better! I have been receiving complements all through the week so far and they keep on coming. I highly recommend visiting Irek and Slawi if you are looking for the latest style or simply want to look elegant. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Beautiful salon and really nice experienced stuff. Got hair extensions and really nice haircut recently from Irek and could not be happier with the result. He really did great job. Highly recommend this salon, for all the ages and both ladies and gentlemen. Besides being taken care professionally, while waiting you will be treated with snacks and beverages.
Overall my experience was nothing but the best and definitely would highly recommend the salon.

I just moved to Chicago from out of state and my bangs had gotten too long for me to see properly anymore. Time for a hair cut! I was looking for something close to my apartment, and the reviews for this place were really good so I thought I’d give it a shot.
I had an amazing experience. I was a little skeptical of the reviews that said you’re treated like family or an old friend. How can a hair salon be THAT friendly? But guess what?! It’s true! Irek himself is just so friendly and enthusiastic you feel like you’ve been going to see him for years.
Besides everyone here being super friendly, the service was also great. I love my hair cut. Best I’ve gotten in a long time. I decided to get my eyebrows done here too, and they’ve NEVER looked this good. Oh, and Irek threw in a deep conditioning treatment for me for free. Awesome!
I will definitely be back.

I have reviewed previously after my last visit, and wanted to throw in a review from my latest appointment.
I am seriously BLOWN AWAY by the stunning work produced by Irek and Slawek. They truly are master artists in this industry! I cannot believe that they deliver this level of amazing service at the prices that are offered. I cannot recommend this salon enough.
In all honesty, I have tried going to «ritzy» salons in the past, and have only been disappointed by the lack of personable staff and service. I have spent over $ 250 before on a cut/​color service, and left the salon with «okay» results. Never did I return to that place, because there was absolutely no connection with the people. However, that is NOT the case with Irek Mar!
The staff are absolutely personable, and I find myself feeling right at home whenever I visit this salon. Trust me when I say that every penny spent in this establishment is WORTH. IT. I posted a photo of my recent visit, and just look at the results! This is by far the best cut/​color I’ve ever had. Hands down. Thank you for existing, Irek Mar Salon!

I love this salon. Really a great find in Lincoln Park. I did a consult with Irek during which he suggested a cut that would flatter my face. Honestly, I think it’s one of the best cuts that I have gotten. I had been playing with growing out my pixie, and Irek kept that in mind, while still giving me a very modern look. It’s something that I had been hoping to find in previous appointments with other stylists.
He also colored my hair. He picked out the color and we went more bold than I have gotten before, but I LOVE it. I feel super confident in my style. My hair is bold and speaks more to my personality.
I’d been going to a couple different salons in the city, but I’ll definitely be sticking with this one.

Just got my hair done at this salon and it was fabulous! Super friendly staff and the result is even better! Been a while since my last haircut and it felt beyond amazing to get it done today and also having someone I trusted with my hair. I have been getting my hair cut by Irek and color by Slawek for 5 years now and I have not had a bad experience! I always get compliments on my hair. You can tell these two have a passion for what they do because it shows in their work. I will not let anyone else touch my hair.

I’m beginning to think that most of the reviews for Irek are not from real clients. The salon is not very pleasant and both the shampoo chair and the other chair were extremely uncomfortable. I was never asked if I wanted something to drink — even water would have been nice. My haircut took forever and while my hair looked nice when the stylist was done the sign of a great cut is when I can style it. Exactly what I said I hated — bulk at the bottom — is exactly what I have. While I haven’t loved all of my haircuts this falls in the disastrous category and will probably have to go somewhere else to get it fixed.

I have been going to see Agnes for years, back when she was located on the northwest side of Chicago. I’m really excited about her recent move to the Lincoln Park area.
Agnes does a fantastic job with waxing (legs, underarms, eyebrows) and henna (eyebrows). She has also done my makeup for special occasions, like weddings. The bridesmaid makeup she had done made me feel like a movie star and lasted through the the whole night of rushing through photo shoots (one on top of a fire truck) and dancing.
Estheticians get to see the areas that make us feel self-​conscious, exposed. To me, it’s very important to be comfortable around that person and Agnes has always made me feel comfortable to be myself, as well as done an excellent job making me feel beautiful and happy. She is a true professional.
