Jack Melnick’s Corner Tap

Came here on a Saturday for college football. We called ahead of time to specifically ask if both my girlfriends team and my favorite team was gonna be able to be on in the same room and they said no problem. We were put into a room where it couldn’t be done. I was constantly walking back and forth to try and catch highlights of both games until I lost my patience and went to the bar and stood for the rest of the afternoon. Was not a fan of this location.

This place was great! It was Sunday and just with football watcher but we were seated within 20 minutes which was great! We were seated in the patio and our server was incredible nice and hilarious. We order the XXX wings, Mac daddy mac n cheese, and street fries. Everything was delicious. But mind you that the XXX wings aren’t to be taken lightly. The server brought over a bell for us to ring in case we couldn’t handle the heat so we could get a «cooling platter» consisting of bread, oranges, milk, and vanilla ice cream. He also brought over firefighter hats and took our picture since we finished our order of wings! The bloodymaries were also pretty delicious. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Best Chicago experience during my visit :)

The wings are awesome. The best garlic Parmesan fries. I will be back. The drinks were pretty good too!

Spoke with Emily (assistant manager) this afternoon. I was calling to speak with the general manager but he was not in and Emily wanted to see if she could help. I explained my story and she appologized. I also let her know, if the GM wanted a detailed account of my visit, he could read my review on Unilocal. Apparently, Emily is in charge of responding to reviews on Unilocal. She asked what she could do to have me remove my review. I was floored! I explained to her that people need to know about my poor experience and that no matter what she offered I would not be changing my review.
