Yes, they are VERY fast. The quality is usually pretty good. No big complaints… I just wish that the«chain» overall was of higher quality food. For example, if you over a roast beef sandwich, don’t expect it to look anything like one you’d get from a good deli. But… many of the other items are very good… and I give it such a high rating primarily for the SPEEDYDELIVERY.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you $ 10 sandwich. Was under the weather so decided to order in and this is what I get. What a Joke… Jimmy Johns just lost one customer today.

I’ve never had issues with any Jimmy John’s, and this location is no exception. I love their Italian subs :3 and they’re a block away from my house, so I come here often… I def recommend this location.

Sandwich was alright. Service wasn’t great. I asked for my sub to be lettuce wrapped, with extra lettuce to make sure it was fully covered. He did it with 2 small pieces of lettuce. When I asked for more he said with an attitude«we only use 2» and just wrapped it up. I’ve been to plenty of Jimmy Johns where they never had a problem putting extra lettuce. ITISLETTUCE!!! I even called a different location and they said that was very strange and that they shouldn’t have and any issues doing it. Disappointed when I got home and all of the meat and veggies were falling out.

What the hell. We order two BLT sandwiches and what we found when we open our bag is bacon and tomato wrapped in lettuce with no bread. How the hell do you mistake an order for sandwiches for the low-carb gimmick garbage you put on your menu?

They get a 2 star for the sandwich tasting good(like all Jimmy Johns). But service is worse than I could ever expect. Bad enough that I will not return. Ordered 3 sandwiches. Before we finished ordering the third one, we asked to have mayo put on it. They said, no it was already made and they would not open it up, even though we were not done ordering yet. Gave us a few packets instead so we can do it ourselves. Not the end of the world, but customer service 101 says, if paid to put what I want on a sandwich, just put it on. Don’t hand me my sandwich the way I did not want it before I finish ordering it!!! Again, not the end of the world. We get to our table and start to eat. I take one bite of my sandwich, not the one needing mayo, and find that the Dijon mustard I requested was barely put on the sandwich. I wanted some more. So we asked for some extra in a cup or on the side. They said no. They have no way of giving it to me. They could not put it in a cup, fold it in wrapper, etc. It was not possible. She offered to put more on my sandwich for me. I said you are supposed to make a new one then, and she said it is ok. She took my took my sandwich back across the counter(with a bite already taken in it), grabbed the spatula and slapped some more Dijon on it, including where I had taken a bite from. Then put the spatula back in the container for the next customer. First it is gross to do this!!! Second it is also illegal to take food back to process once sent across the counter to a customer. Food service 101. They need to go back to the basics. Freaky fast, freaky wrong, freaky gross, NOFREAKINGWAY I AMEATINGHEREAGAIN!!!

I had a boat outing recently and since we were gonna be out there on the water for 5 hours, we figured we needed some food to accompany all the alcohol we were bringing. I called the JJ nearest to me in Andersonville for 2 sandwich platters @ 7PM the night before the outing and they told me they could not accommodate my ask as it was too late. I called this location thanks to the Unilocal app and Natalie and her team did the damn thang with getting me what I needed at short notice. Good spot and very helpful!

If you want subs so fast you’ll freak stay away from this Jimmy Johns. I’ve found their service to be incredibly slow compared to others. Their subs are also more expensive than other Jimmy John’s I have eaten at around the city. Food is still good though.

The subs always taste fresh, and their whole ‘So fast, you’ll freak’ thing is legit. The delivery guy gets to our house in a truly unbelievably short amount of time. The Beach Club or Veggie Sub on french bread with Jimmy Chips is an awesome comfort food meal that I never have to feel too guilty about. One thing, though: I wish they sold Mexican Coke.

JJ’s, you fail, not only because your owner at large is a rhino-killer, but because when I request extra mayo, you screw it up royally every single time. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. So this might not be the last time I order from you, but it’s the last time I actually expect what I order to happen. Get your standards straight. Period.

This is the worst Jimmy Johns I have ever been to. They screw up 50% of deliveries. Deliveries are late. When you call them to have your order fixed they hang up on you. I was hung up on 5 times tonight an they told me they were out of bread! It appears they will not replace my order today. Nice.

Dining in is fine. Delivery is another story. Most of the time I order from this location it takes 45+ minutes and mistakes are regularly made. I’ll be ordering from the location in Aville from now on.

I have always been a fan of these amazing sandwiches… much better than anything you can find at Subway! This location is close to home and after reading the reviews I had to get delivery. I can confirm that the delivery guy, Willie, is absolutely amazing! Even if you live close by, opt for delivery and say hi to Willie, you won’t regret it!

Although I have had really great experiences at other Jimmy Johns locations, this particular store was really disappointing. They made the wrong sandwich and we didn’t find out till we got home. When I called them about it the women we spoke to, Angelica, was very un-apologetic, and not at all friendly or accommodating. She did not apologize once. When we got back to the store to return it, she again had the same attitude. I called and spoke to the manager, Josh, the next day and he seemed dis-interested as well. Also, not apologizing or offering any sort of consideration. I imagine this is where the customer service issues stem from. Ultimately took over a hour to get a sandwhich right. Although this place is close to our house, it’s just not worth the hassle.

I have to say that I am not so much into Jimmy John’s sandwiches. I do not like their bread. I do not know why but atmosphere is worse than the one at Potbelly or Subway. At this location service is OK. The establishment is clean. Jimmy John’s will always be my last option after Potbelly and Subway.

While out shopping at Wags, noticed a long line for Jimmy John’s. Today was«customer appreciation day» and they were offering $ 1 subs. Darn nice of ‘em! I got there just in time to be the last one, at 3pm. I ordered a BLT and asked for all the trimmings. What I got was decent(it was only $ 1 after all) — but it was missing all the extra trimmings I asked for. Kinda disappointed. But I’ve always loved their sandwiches since arriving back into town and I’ll continue to get food from there.

Local Jimmy John’s. The place is pretty darn nice. The people who work there are awesome– including the delivery guy who seems to work the entire open to close shift. When I see him off duty– he always waves. I think that is half the reason why I remember to go back and order from these guys. HE is pretty darn kind. Food is Jimmy John’s! Standard issue– no problems, nothing special, subs pretty fast, quality consistent. PETPEEVE. They list this store as ROGERSPARK. yeah. It is in EDGEWATER. HUGE difference. Different ward in the city, different community, different ZIPCODE, but for some reason– they will not change it. Kind of a slap in the face for those of us who choose to make edgewater our home. What, are the marketing people so dumb they cannot figure it out, or so stubborn they will not change it?

I must say I like Jimmy John’s. They make a decent sandwich. This particular location is clean and yes they make a sandwich so fast you’ll freak — or whatever the catch phrase is. Actually, I did freak a bit but not because the sub assembly speed blew me away. Rather the comments made by the staff were rather humorous in a «I’m not sure I should be working here» category. My friend inquired about the tuna sub. Here is how it played out: «How is the tuna sandwich?» «Errr, well, I’ve never tried it but I would not recommend it» «Would not recommend it? Why not?» «Well I don’t know what they put in it» «The sandwich or the tuna?» «Well both, wait no, we make the sandwich and stuff but I don’t know about the tuna» «Hmmm ok I’ll try the turkey sub. I’ll take a cookie too, how much?» «They’re like 2 dollars, yeah I know it’s like expensive. I would not recommend them» This guy sure knew how to up-sell. I suppose if I asked him for a recommendation I would’ve walked out hungry.

This is how a sub place should work. The ingredients are always fresh, the wait time is non-existent, and they have two of the greatest subs ever made(Italian Night Club and Ultimate Porker). JJ’s is the best of all the fast food sub places(Potbelly, Subway, Quizno’s), and this location does nothing to change that. It’s not overly spectacular, but it’s a solid place, with consistently good food, and when all you want is a tasty sub, it’s tough to do better.

I live at Loyola University Chicago… that’s right. I work there, I’m a graduate student there – thus I live there. It takes about 3 weeks to make the rounds of area restaurants before you realize that a good, solid sandwich is all that would really make your heart sing. And thus I found Jimmy John’s and have never been disappointed. Their sandwiches are great: I love the multi-grain bread(that is the«health conscious» line I’m *supposed* to use when discussing bread – what I really love is the usual white roll they use… it’s absolutely delicious… but seriously, the multigrain is excellent). I’m not a vegetarian per se but my favorite sandwich is the veggie b/c it’s always fresh tasting and it comes with the avocado spread that is just so good. I do have to say though that it seems a little over-processed to me; like Chipotle’s guacamole, I like some chunkiness to my avocado-focused creations, if only to suggest authenticity to me. The fact that it’s called«spread» makes me wonder exactly what else is in there. But I still love it… it’s salty and garlicky which gives the rest of the sandwich the vibe it needs. In addition to my «veggie» self, I’ve also gotten the Pepe(ham and cheese) and the turkey sandwich as well. It’s all good. And I love that the cheese du jour is provolone which actually looks real(unlike Subway’s that they call provolone but comes in minuscule wedge-shaped pieces… I’m sorry, I’m not buyin’ it.) I also love the brand of chips they carry… especially the jalepeno… mmmm. But here’s my favorite part: This particular store’s delivery guy is SONICE. I used to order from here multiple times a week and it was always the same delivery guy… one time he gave me a soda for free!(I think it was the outcome of someone else’s order mistake but if you’re givin’ me a free diet coke, I’m takin’ it – ya know). Though I haven’t gotten delivery in awhile, I still see him on campus and he remembers me!(I am a good tipper but this seems going above and beyond.) I never hesitate to go to this store… when a sandwich is what I need to make the world as right as rain.
