Not the worst but definitely not the best. My favorite pizza places in Chicago are: Pequods, Lou’s, Art of Pizza, Gigio’s, Café Luigi, ORD Pizzeria and Jet’s. Johnie’s didnt make the cut as the dough was pretty hard and bland on my pepperoni pan. The Gyro sandwich and fries were decent, I think I’ll try the Chicken Pita and see if its similar to the Hani in Michigan. The delivery was fast, under 45 minutes, and the prices were reasonable. I’ll try my Pizza elsewhere.

I wish it were possible to give this place 0 stars. I ordered delivery and my order that came was completely different from its description on both the paper menu from the restaurant itself and the grubhub menu. It was missing two items from the order. I politely called to ask if this was how it was supposed to come. Before allowing me to finish my sentence, the man who answered the phone yelled«Take a better look on grubhub.» And hung up on me. I feel awful for the woman who delivered it because she was so sweet and must have a lot to deal with working for or with a man who so clearly does not know how to speak to customers. I will never patronize this business again and I strongly encourage you to do the same. So disappointed.

I’ve ordered from Johnie’s a few times from GrubHub. Due to a bug with GrubHub’s ordering system, my order was missing special instructions. The restaurant was quick to respond and sent me a replacement. The food here is delicious and the service is friendly. I’m glad they decided to make Uptown their home.

Don’t order a delivery from this app. When I delivered this morning, I waited for two hours. Then when I called this restaurant they told me that they received my order but it says that its for tomorrow lol. I went to them and found out that it was true. The manager was awesome. I was so pissed of, but he managed that very will. There food is amazing. Thats all.

I really, really want this place to succeed. But they need to fix a few things because getting the food out took quite a long time. Cashier(young guy) was very friendly, but sort of stood around awkwardly after I ordered. The guy working the back(owner?) should be teaching him the kitchen, since it looked like he was running around trying to prepare everything himself. At the very least, give him another task besides the fryer, or offering refills of drinks for waiting customers. On my particular visit one of the fryers was out, so I wasn’t able to get my chicken fingers. Italian beef was the pretty standard beef you get everywhere else, but the amount of meat was smaller than Byron’s down the street.
