Very good food. Adam is an excellent server. Parking can be hard to find. Food is worth it. Very nice eating area separate from bar area.

Went to a Sox game and called to ask what time that they were closing. They said if you get here before 11 that they would serve us. They kept their word. No attitude Adam the waiter was extremely friendly excellent service and awesome food. Definitely will go back. Soup salad and sandwiches were great. Salad was big. Soup was hot and sandwiches were cooked to perfection. Ordered Philly chicken parmigiano and burger had leftovers

Husband and I love coming here on the weekend. It had a great menu, and truly amazing staff. Would recommend to anyone. Never leave here disappointed.

Went her with my husband because we had a gift certificate. He had lasagna and he didn’t really care for it. He said it was too saucy and there wasn’t really much cheese in it at all. I had a pasta which was just ok-not much flavor. The waitress was very nice and helpful.

I’m a creature of habit and order the same items every time I go but when those items hit the mark every time, why switch it up?(Mozzarella Caprese and New York Strip with sauteed spinach) Very friendly service from all sides with Adam the waiter randomly taking a seat at the piano and hammering out everything from KISS to Billy Joel classics. FUN!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. I love the chicken maranello. My husband has tried many of the items on the menu and he loves them as well. The vibe is relaxed and the prices are reasonable.

LOVE Joseph’s for a family night out! Great service, great atmosphere. They take care of our 2-year-old like pros and we always feel comfortable bring him. The only thing is that I wish they had a bit more creative and tastier Italian menu to offer. But the experience we know we will have there makes up for it!

Man this place should be awesome, but the food is just bad. The first time I thought I may have just ordered wrong with the snapper, but no. I came here a second time with my parents and was totally embarrassed to have taken them here. It is some of the worst Italian food I have ever had. All the pasta and fish sauces were just plain gross. I won’t be back.

I love Joseph’s! Have been going since they switched from Richie’s a few years ago. The bar is good. Not a ton of beer on tap but very nice bartenders who manage the bar well even when it’s busy. Fun martini menu. The food is great. Love Joseph’s colossal shrimp and the pasta it comes with. With I could just order the pasta without the shrimp — I would love a heaping helping of that pasta(no matter how bad it probably is for me!). Husband enjoys the prime rib. Service is great — they will always make sure things are exactly right with your order. The tirimisu is great, and their gelato is yummy. I have craved the salted caramel gelato since the last time I had it. Have come here on date nights, birthday dinners, and family dinners, and everyone loves it. Perfect for groups of any size, including kids. Have been here for date nights and it’s very cozy and the kids in the restaurant have always tended to be well-behaved. Adam is the best server I have ever had, anywhere. Great personality, super attentive, he makes every visit there great.

Ok food for my greenwood but starting to go down. All of their shrimp dishes were excellent before they got rid of the jumbo shrimp the new smaller shrimp don’t cut it.

I really had a taste for steak last we and after reading the Unilocal reviews thought I would go here. I had the new york strip, medium, with a baked potatoe and veggies. The garlic rolls they brought were ok — fresh garlic on top which my daughter did not like, but I wiped off most so it wasn’t too bad for her. Our food came out relatively fast but the steak was the blandest meat I have ever had — absolutely no flavor. The potatoe was just that, nothing fancy but better than the steak. I don’t like broccoli so didn’t touch that. The waitress didn’t come back to check on us for 20 minutes — no drink refills, not to check in, nothing until I asked her for the check. It wasn’t a busy night so not sure why it took so long but I wish I would have had the pasta. Lesson learned.

Betty Mc: We had a family«surprise birthday» dinner with 9 people on Saturday night. The service and food were wonderful and helped to make the celebration what we hoped it would be «Special and Fun»… A few of us had the specials(Flank steak), others had the Colossal Shrimp(one of my favorites), Veal, and Prime Rib. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. The ambiance of this restaurant is friendly, the food is excellent as is the service. Thanks Joseph’s for making our night«the special event» we were hoping for.

Just when I thought that the food on the southwest side couldn’t get any worse I took a chance and went to Joseph’s. It is always a shame to see completely good and wholesome ingredients turned into swill. We pushed our plates aside, finished our conversation and left. It was embarassing as well as disappointing.

I was not a huge fan of «Ritchie’s»…this place is much better! We have friends that live close by, so we are able to walk there, which is a definite plus. The martinis are delicious. I am not a fan of the garlic rolls. I would prefer a warm french bread. I had the Chicken Florentina, which was very good. We also had the stuffed mushrooms. There weren’t enough for all of us to each have a whole one, but they were big enough to cut in half. The breaded calamari was also good. Our bill — with numerous alcoholic beverages, no desserts and one cup of coffee — worked out to about $ 40/person. I would definitely go back!

What a great place: first, EXCELLENT food. The shrimp diavolo is a favorite, as are the BBQ ribs and veal Marsala. But the best part about this place is the ambiance: it has a neighborhood, friendly feel and the«piano man» has a knack for putting everyone in a good mood. A south side favorite for sure. A gem.

Let me preface this review with saying that I REALLY wanted to love this restaurant. After all the rave reviews, my boyfriend and I decided to try it out on a Friday at 6:30pm There were open tables but still a good crowd. The atmosphere is cheaply chic. There are hanging lights on the wall but brass fittings on some of the obvious hardware. Brass is very old-fashioned to me. But I can look past a restaurants décor… We were greeted by a friendly hostess. And Adam was our server. I heard a lot of great reviews about Adam and they are exactly as promised. He is amazing! Very friendly but not overly obstrusive. He also plays the piano in the bar when he has a minute. Very fun waiter!!! The snapper seemed to be a hit amongst previous diners. I love a good fish and I also eat on the healthier side. So snapper sounded wonderful with a side of veggies. My boyfriend ordered the house special which was meatloaf with mashed potatoes. We got the gorgonzola salad to start. It was delicious. However, my boyfriend was surprised that they used bagged salad mix. We also ordered the house made guac with house made chips. Those were fantastic! Then came the entrée. They were both generous portions My snapper was on top a lemon caper sauce. But the sauce was sooooo salty that my tongue hurt after 2 bites. And I love salt. I salt all of my food. I ended up scraping the fish off the top to avoid the sauce. So I missed out on half my fish. My veggies were broc/caulifl/carrot. But you could tell it was the frozen mix. Completely bland and devoid of any flavor. And if you are going to serve a veggie with fish, the veg should complement the fish. Maybe a nice asparagus. But frozen veggies? Bleh! The meatloaf seemed to be good. I don’t eat meatloaf but he seemed to think it was at least decent. The mashed potatoes, however, were instant. INSTANT? REALLY? Gross! If that is the special for the night, at least make homemade mashed potatoes. I can usually eat instant potatoes, but these weren’t even tolerable. So he only at the meatloaf. The prices should reflect the quality of food. The prices are not low enough for the quality. I expected so much more. I hope this restaurant can do better. Maybe the pasta is really their specialty and they should stick to that. After we left the restaurant we were still hungry. We only had water to drink and our bill was $ 50(not including tip). I think this restaurant needs some work, but please don’t get rid of Adam

I loved Richie’s and was sad to see it go, but thrilled that it’s opened again under Joseph’s and kept pretty much the same menu, but added some awesome stuff like GLUTENFREEPASTA! I went here a couple weeks ago for their salad that I’m obsessed with and when I found out they had gluten free pasta, I had to order that as well. I got the Spaghetti Pat«D», which was so delicious. The portion sizes are large, enough for two meals. The bar is great, very friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. It is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it.

Tonight was my second time here in the last four days, I can’t believe it took me so long to find this place. it’s great! Food– EXCELLENT! Both times I had a sandwich but the pasta dishes are very good too. They start you off with hot garlic rolls, and the menu has a nice variety of steak, pasta, chicken, etc. Drinks– Very cold! Wait Time– Walked right in and sat. you’re greeted with a friendly hello! Parking– It’s 111th Street, deal with it and find a spot on the street or side street. not a biggie. God forbid people have to walk a block. it’s worth the walk. Staff: VERYFRIENDLY! Probably my favorite thing about Joseph’s is the environment… everyone in there is very nice which I love. Go there peeps… you won’t be disappointed!
