I found me a great dessert spot and Karen’s Bakery is good for that, so many selections to choose from I was so excited. They had butter cookies, buttermilk pound cake, lemon pound cake, chocolate pecan cookies and famous for their peach cobbler. Fabulous for cakes and cookie lovers at best! Give them 4 stars, because they didn’t have my favorite dessert cupcakes! Lol Great service with a smile!

Miss Karen’s smile represents the 5 star rating her bakery goods will tantalize your taste buds with.
It must be easy for her to do the magic that she does with her bakery goods because she is such a sweet and warm person herself.
The peach cobbler is to die for the brownies are the same. Her butter cookies remind me of when I was a kid in public school and the lunchroom made the butter cookies.
I am so thankful that Miss Karen does not be stingy with the butter in her products I would rather pay a little more money for a high quality product and that is Karen knows how to deliver.
Her buttermilk pound cake is heavenly so if you want to treat yourself or treat your sweet to a sweet go see Miss Karen you owe it to yourself and your taste buds.
Thank you Ms Karen. You are a treat of sweets kudos!

The hunt is over! I found out about Karen’s from the cashier at Anita’s Gumbo– they’d recently discontinued their delicious peach cobbler & I had to know the bakery that supplied it! Karen’s is right along the Dan Ryan Expressway in a cute pink storefront– the interior is small with no seating & just a walk-​up & order window. But what the bakery lacks in comfortability– Karen more than makes up for with her warm personality & to die for desserts. Upon entering I went right to the display case and immediately knew I was in the right place– there sat 4 containers of the words best peach cobbler that I had discovered at Anita’s. I kept my composure & only bought 2, also chocolate chip cookies, butter cookies & a red velvet cupcake. When I got home the peach cobbler was just as I’d remembered it– everything else was great too. If you love peach cobbler– GET TO KAREN’S!
