Kegs To Go

The service int his place is awful. I was told I didn’t need a reservation so I went in the next day to get a keg. The man behind the counter was 1) Very mumbly and hard to understand 2) Rude. I was told I had to wait for the other customers in the store to be finished with their purchases before I can be helped. I waited about 15 minutes for the others to finish. Once it was FINALLY my turn for service he wheeled out the keg and slammed it on the floor… strike 2. When it was time for check out, he forgot to add in both deposits for the keg/​tap and proceeded to charge my card 3 separate times. I had no idea what was going on. Now for the good part, I am a female. 5’5 not very strong… I asked him for help with loading the keg into my car, he said yes. We got half way out of the door before other customers proceeded to enter the store. He said excuse me but I have to help them. I was so irate at that moment, that his customer service skills were so terrible. He left me out on the corner with the keg and dolly. I was so fed up I wheeled it to the car myself. My girlfriend was thankfully there to help me, but I AM NEVER GOING BACK to this place. I guess that’s the price you pay for convenience.

Closest liquor store to my home. The guys are friendly, they have all the basics, and some craft beers. Handy to have around the block.

This place sucks. They are overpriced. The staff is so stupid and rude. Did not offer to help me with my kegs, with just me and my girlfriend. (side note I bought 3). You would think a little help would be offered right. Also, I thought it was very offensive to have taken fake id’s on the wall. Show a little respect guy, especially when working in a college town.

Always hooks up the quick quality six-​pack (or 4-​pack of the good stuff from Goose Island), also has a fair liquor selection, especially on the vodkas. Friendly guys work here, and yes, it does smell like incense all the time. Notably, they have a small walk-​in humidor if you want to get your smoke on. One time, when I was drunk, I bought beer and I forgot to take back my license after showing it. The guy at the counter kindly kept it safe for me until the next day. «Don’t ever let me do that again,» I said.

Cheap kegs but not much more than other places. Plus they never answer the phone, the lights are always off, the place smells like a hobo hotel and when I went to return my keg recently they were shut early with no sign or indication. Had to go back the next day and do it all over again. What a hassle. Go to West Lakeview on Addison. A bit more $$$ but least they are cool people.

How about NO THANKS! Don’t waste your time with this place. I got cups, 6 bags of ice, a tap rental and a keg all for this price elsewhere.

Way better than Gold Crown in Wrigleyville… good kegs, good prices, and they deliver!
