Ordered the chicken salad croissant from über eats. Barely any chicken salad on it and it tasted like the salad had been in the fridge for a couple days. Looks nothing like the picture. Not worth the $ 9 and I’m complaining to Über too.

Nice people but they don’t have their act together. I ordered a chamomile tea with ice in it. They made me a green tea. I said, that’s fine I’ll take it, but the they insist on making it over, except they forgot the ice. I almost burned my tongue on it. They have two sides for giving out orders so you don’t know which side to stand on. I got tea the first time on one side, then I heard my order for muffin top on other side. The whole thing is confusing and they can’t even tell you anything about Bloomingdales. I asked a simple question wanting to know how many floors it is, and they don’t even know the answer. For someone visiting this place from out of town it is a fail.

I would like to point out that a friend purchased a medium and a large cup of iced coffee from King Café. Once finished with the drinks, he did an experiment as the cups looked very similar in size. He filled the medium with water and poured it into the large cup and, guess what? They hold almost exactly the same amount of water!!! Don’t buy the large EVER as there is little to no difference!

Their iced coffee leaves much to be desired. It’s thick and bitter on a consistent basis. Sandwiches are generally overpriced. They had a punch card which got customers a free drink every 10th purchase. One day– they suddenly took my card and kept it(my free drink no less) and told me they were done using the punch cards. No honoring the cards already in circulation– nothing. It was poor customer service and has me going a few more blocks to Starbucks when possible. At least there I know I can get consistency.

I USED to like this business. They recently discontinued their«frequent sippers» program. It was a punch card, and after so many drinks, you got one free. NICE!!! Well they immediately stopped the program recently, with NO notice to anyone. Even if you had a card, fully punched or not, they refused to honor them. I can understand discontinuing a program, but give your loyal patrons a chance to cash in the cards we earned for our treat. What you did was NOTCOOL. I will take that extra minute to go elsewhere, when ever possible.

Well that is going to sound odd, but as they finished my order which was an espresso shot, by the side of the bar and waited for the smoothie with my drink near me, I looked around and looked back a girl came and STOLE it, So I told the guy that made the drink, he gave me a weird look like if I was lying to him, then made me anther one, I got the other order, and I told him thanks and he did not even respond he just gave us the weird look again. The espresso is ok, but the guy who made the order was kinda rude.

Their coffee and baked goods are OK, nothing special, but frequent operational problems leave a bad taste in my mouth. They almost always do not open on time — either because the baristas aren’t ready or other operational problems. Today their registers weren’t working. I will try to avoid this place as much as possible.

Visiting this café is something I always look forward to when shopping downtown. King is right on the main level, underneath the escalators.. Their scones are freshly made and have a really crisp taste. I go wild for their breakfast dishes though. The egg and cheese muffin rivals most morning meals I’ve had. For such a busy place, the servers are generally attentive. I haven’t tried any of their other treats but plan on sampling some in the future. The coffee is a bit pricey, but I expect that for a downtown establishment. There is a bar like seating area along the wall, which makes it easy to enjoy a drink.

They have some pretty good lattes. It’s a great location(since it’s in a mall) with modern designs. Staffs there are very nice, trying to accommodate what you want. I talked to a worker there named Michael and he was very friendly and helpful. I like their latte, chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie. Definitely would come back here whenever I come to this mall. Expensive garage parking for the mall, $ 13 with validation. Street parking several blocks away. Best if you just take public transit.

Sodium overload from all the tasting menus. King Café is steps away from our hotel. They have made to order smoothies and will customize them for you. I was yearning for a light liquid meal to start my day, they crushed some berries, omitted the OJ and added extra lemon juice. Perfect!!! Their bbq chicken salad was pretty good too, fresh and plenty of ingredients to keep my tastebuds busy. Love how the chicken is REAL chicken.

Breakfast as I work. Staff working fast. good seating for it being in the middle of the main floor in the mall. :) The pedestals though I think give it a cramped like feeling… but that in no way impeded service.

Note: This review is just for the fro-yo, which is all that I have tried here thus far, although their other menu items do look delectable. This has been the only place in Chicago I’ve been able to find that carries«only 8» frozen yogurt. Only 8 frozen yogurt is simple as that — it contains only 8 calories per ounce. Which means I can enjoy a HUGE yogurt for 96 calories, and they even have sugar-free chocolate and caramels syrups to top it off. It is absolutely delicious yogurt and I am greeted here with a smile and attentive service every time I walk up to the counter! I can only imagine their other items are just as good.
