I agree with the previous reviewer about the look of the building: small and shabby. However, their bread is really good! The conchas are the best in the city. My parents that live in the north side always send me to the south side for bread from this place. The only problem is that they don’t take debit card. CASH ONLY. Apart from that, I love this place.

A shabby looking building on the corner of California and Pershing. Not a big selection, but pretty good quality. Their breads are good and I tried some of the pastries.
They have this fruit filled pastry that is so crispy and flaky… yum! I’m thinking of going back over there to pick some up.
Prices are cheap. Only thing is they don’t really have signs up for what is what. They are pretty quiet, but will smile as I think their English is not the best.
