Lincoln Express Cab

What do you get when you cross Ace Ventura’s Monte Carlo and Axel Foley’s Chevy Nova? You get what pulled up to my house to take me to the airport last week.
After unsuccessfully booking a cab with the two cab companies I regularly use, I opened the phone book and called this place. Filthy and reeking of cigarette smoke, this car was primer grey, old, had no hubcaps and the ghost lettering from when it belonged to a previous cab company was still visible on the doors (but no new lettering had been added). To add insult to injury, the driver quoted us a flat rate to O’Hare and told us like we were getting the deal of the century. In fact, from my house a cab ride is under $ 20. We were given this «fantastic» rate of $ 24 — of course after about 6 blocks into the ride.
If you want to pull up to your destination looking like you just escaped from the deer scene in Tommy Boy, then be my guest. Otherwise, save yourself the embarrassment of the ghetto car and stay on hold a little longer for Checker Cab.
