I went here about two weeks ago on a Saturday night(BIGMISTAKE). I had just gotten out of work(like about midnight) so I didn’t get there until like 1230 ish. Well let me tell you, this place was nice and crowned and me and my boyfriend managed to sneak a spot at the bar. About an hour and a half of fine karaōke the bar called last call at about 210. Okay sure I understand because I work in the industry. So me and my boyfriend to grab another beer before we head home, I shit you not around 220 they started kicking people out. And we had Literally just got the beers we order. The bouncer try to throw us out and I told him that the bar doesn’t close to 3 and just wait to finish our beers and be said they close at 230 and that we had to be out now. Likr way are you fighting me on this, if you want to get out early i get it but dont lie to us. And I was like sir we won’t take long just give us time we just bought these. We asked for a refund for our beers if we were going to throw us out and that’s when this larger mean lady who I’m assuming is the bar back just starts telling us you have to leave and just being rude about everything that is coming out her mouth. Mind it’s not even 230 yet. So we say to them, we were having a good night and we just wanted to finish these beers and go home and they way they handled the situation was shitty. The only nice person there was the bartender and the karaōke host. Everyone else there is rude and I hope that the owner realizes what horrible people he has hired on. I will never come back to this place and I know a WAY better bars that won’t treat people the way these people treated me and my boyfriend. Don’t worry there a way better karaōke place called Alice’s Lounge in Avondale, I suggested you go there instead of here!

I’ve come here multiple times and always had a fantastic time, HOWEVER now I think it’s only because we were able to snag a table right by the karaōke. This past time my group arrived at about 8pm to get a close table. We found one and had a seat, but then were informed that we needed to move because that table was reserved but they had forgotten to put the reserved sign on. Alright, understandable. We got pushed into the back room and were settled again, until we were told that, sorry, this table was also reserved for another group and could we move even farther back. My group was not happy and a few people started getting heated with the employees, which I’m aware did not help the situation. The employees were nice enough and didn’t get heated back, but they were pretty apathetic to our situation. We arrived SO early to get a good spot and we ended up in the far corner of the bar. We tried to move past it, but then learned that the speakers in the back room were busted so A) we couldn’t really hear the singing, and B) we couldn’t hear our names called when we were up to sing. Half the people in my group put their names in to sing but missed the announcement so they ended up skipped. It ended up being such a bust. I think had the employees tried to make it up to us that would have helped, but they were like robots just saying«sorry for the inconvenience» over and over. A free round would have gone a long way in that situation. SO, moral of the story, if you have a group and want to sit, make a reservation because you will trump everyone else there.

Packed end to end, but the bouncer found a spot at the bar and also got us the first table that opened up. Drinks came at a decent rate considering how packed they were. The entire bar joins in song when people chose more popular toons. My only disappointment was that I wanted to sing and waited over 30m to get on, and then they called last call.

I really love coming to Louie’s because karaōke is their thing. It’s starts at 8 til close and the regulars are a pleasure to watch — some are really talented, and some are ballsy as hell(i can respect that). The fun songs bring the whole place down and that’s a good time. Great beer selection, great bartender, well ventilated cause it gets sardine crowded in there after 10. Email the contact on the website and reserve tables if you are coming with a group.

The bartenders are extremely attentive and polite. Free popcorn is also great, but if you really want to sing make sure to bring a lot of money. It took 3 hours for me to be called to sing, so from my group of friends I was the only one to go up and we left before we got a chance to see if anyone else got to sing. Apparently people tip up to 50 dollars to have their name to be called next. I’m definitely not willing to drop that kind of money there. Still on the search for great karaōke.

The folks running the karaōke booth are disgruntled and rude. Don’t consider talking to them unless you want a dickish response. Maybe it’s company policy?

Stumbled upon this great spot. Great service, very clean and the karaōke is fabulous. Thank you Louie’s for a great night!

Second time here and a good night once again. The nonstop karaōke almost guarantees this place will have a crowd any weekend night. The drinks are reasonable and the bartenders are pleasant. They also don’t mind you bringing food in. The only thing that’s not great about this place is the crowdedness. Narrow aisle and people standing in it make for a long trip back and forth for a drink.

This is the most fun I’ve had in a long time. True, it’s a younger crowd, and they can be a little drunk and obnoxious, but that’s ok. The KJ, who I think is Nicole, was fantastic and had a great voice! This isn’t a dive-bar at all; the people were mostly dressed very nicely and the doormen were more friendly than some I have seen. They don’t serve food, but we had a pizza delivered and it was no problem. They have a good assortment of beer on tap and in bottles and a fairly good selection of liquor. The bartender, Natalie, was outstanding! She was fast, efficient, friendly enough to make everyone comfortable and in general just fantastic at her job. The owner, Abe, was pleasant, though I didn’t speak to him very much. Juan, the barback, was busier than anyone else and really did a knock out job of having the bar stocked and glasses clean. He deserves a raise. We didn’t sing, although they have an impressive karaōke selection and the books are distributed throughout the place. They use an automated pour system there for all the drinks, which keeps the drinks tasting exactly the same no matter who makes them. That provides consistency, but it seems to slow down the process of actually getting your drink a little. On a side note, the restrooms were spotless. That’s impressive. Negatives: The only real negatives that I can point out are the system they use that takes a picture of your ID. I’m not sure why they do it, but I almost walked out rather than have it done. It’s just not something I feel comfortable with, though I can’t say that it would make me not come back. The other is that the«regulars» seem to genuinely think that they own the place and make it difficult to get a drink sometimes by monopolizing the bartender’s attention. Summary: This is a great little bar, and the best karaōke bar I’ve been to in the city. I will definitely go back.

While this place had great popcorn, their claim to be a karaōke bar was weak at best. My friends and I were in on a calm Wednesday evening, and it took over an hour for the songs we requested to be able payed, and that, with significant attitude from the employees. Needless to say, I won’t be going back. Avoid this place if you’re looking for anything fun other than popcorn.

I can’t even begin to describe how much I love Louie’s Pub. I am actually writing this the day after a night out and event with some friends. We had a few friends in from out of country, and having been to Louie’s several times before, knew that this would be a great place to take them. I made a reservation and confirmed with Nicole a few days prior. When we arrived to the bar, we found that our tables had mistakenly not been reserved as promised. The door staff was SUPER apologetic and tried to make things work. Then, Nicole came to our rescue and was not only REALLY friendly, but incredibly upbeat, and helped to secure two tables in an already crowded bar. Our friends from out of country along with everyone we invited had an amazing time. And a huge huge thanks to the friendly, and quick-to-respond staff at Louie’s for making the night incredible.

Louie’s is a great karaōke bar, for sure. They have every single song you could ever want to sing and the KJs are fun and nice. But everyone already KNOWS this is the best place to karaōke. I am writing this review about the other, lesser known aspects of Loiue’s. All in all, Louie’s is just a great neighborhood, corner bar. The atmosphere is cute and cozy-it’s always decked out in fun, seasonal décor. It’s quaint but also super clean, not dirty and dive-y like most corner bars. Their slogan is «the place where friends meet» and while it may sound cheesey, it’s actually true! I’ve been a regular at this bar for over a decade and there are truly great people that hang out here during the non-karaōke hours. Now, they do NOT serve food, but that’s really no big deal because you are allowed to bring food in and you can order delivery from any of the awesome local restaurants. Hang out with friends and order pizza! It’s a super laid back! Last but not least, while it’s a karaōke bar at night, during the day it’s got kind of a sports thing going on-there are a bunch of tvs throughout and the bartender will put it on any channel you want! On Sundays, this is the ONLY bar in the entire city that I can watch NASCAR!!! That’s right-it’s the best and only bar to cozy up to, order from an amazing selection of craft beers, get some BBQ or pizza delivered or whatever and spend a day getting into NASCAR. This has been my weekend ritual for years and Loiue’s has become my favorite bar because of it.

This place is a young 20’s crowd, so I feel a little old there, lol. Very loud, but the mic isn’t the greatest and you can’t hear yourself sing… But I think the point is careless fun karaōke, not diva karaōke lol! Drinks are ok if you don’t get them knocked out of your hand. The bouncer takes a photo of your ID. I get it, because people can get really rowdy.(I had a girl try to start a fight with me because I touched her chair lol.) but if you’re not into your drivers license being photographed, it will most likely be. So, for the younger 20’s crowd. The girls get dressed up, and the people are pretty much all attractive. I say if you’re young or just want some young post-college fun, and want to get dressed up just to go to karaōke, this is the place. If you’re more mellow like me and are only there to sing, socialize a bit, and drink… Maybe try a different place.

One of the most unprofessionally run bars I’ve ever been to. Theres only 2 bartenders on an overcrowded Saturday night so good luck getting a drink. Never a good sign when there’s more bouncers than bartenders. Even if you can get the bartender’s attention you have to get through a guard rail of trolls surrounding the bar. I was there with a group of friends and it was comical how rude the«regulars» were. One girl even got physical with one of my friends who tried to reason with her but she was was beyond comprehension. She stood there and scowled the whole night, taking up 4 people’s width of space just elbowing everyone out of the way if they came anywhere near her. The best part was she picked fights with at least 4 people and the bartender kicked those people out along with their groups of friends(at least 20 people) rather than telling the girl to go get a life at some other bar. Apparently they knew each other, but I highly doubt the guy bartender made anywhere near as much money from her and her lame boyfriend as we would have given him. Good idea dude! We will NEVER be back and our entire party still laughs at what a joke that patron and bartender were.

Louie’s Pub is home to a great list of karaōke songs, a nice selection of beers, bartenders who make strong drinks, free popcorn, and bouncers who look out for the ladies. Harassment and aggressive flirtation are not tolerated! If they see it, you get pulled aside for a warning, and after that, you get removed from the premises. It seems like they kind of run out of stuff a lot, but with so many choices, it’s not a huge deal. Steps from the blue line! Steps from the bus! Bike racks nearby! Parking isn’t horrible! You have no excuse not to come here and yell into a microphone.

Came in here on Halloween after our bar of choice down the street was a dud. We didn’t realize it was a karaōke bar until we sat down so that was an extreme plus. Although the bar was super crowded the list to get up and song was long. The waitress we had was super attentive and friendly. We got nothing but great vibes from the place, workers and clientele. I’ll be quite honest we had every intention of coming back that I am no wondering why we haven’t already. We were a group of four and we loved our experience here. All in all I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun joint or anyone who digs karaōke.

I love this place. I’d never done Karaōke before so I was kind of nervous, but by the end of my song people were singing along and cheering me and my buddy on even though we have terrible voices. The drinks are reasonably priced, with an extensive selection of great beer on tap. Plus they give you free popcorn!!! When I went with some friends, it was a Tuesday night at 12, and we surprised that 20 people were signed up ahead of us for karaōke. They have a huge selection of songs. I had a lot if fun here, will be back again.

I’m not sure I’ve ever had more fun at a bar! And I don’t even LIKE karaōke! Yes, I’m serious. However, I couldn’t imagine a more fun spot and I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t ever been inside this bar though for a while, I literally lived 3 blocks away(shameful, I know…) So, obviously, I was with great company, so that clearly didn’t hurt things, but this bar was hilarious, full of people watching, and fun all mixed up. First of all, a cordless mic — now, that is perfection. See… this way, I don’t have to embarrass myself on a stage singing… additionally, when you need a little help with your song, there are 50 people standing right next to you, so no worries… they can help(since I’m basically tone deaf, this is ideal)! Despite appearances from the outside, this place is much snazzier inside than the sign would imply. PLUS, it has clean bathrooms. Score! The bartenders are occasionally hard to find, but the clientale is so pleasant, they don’t push and shove trying to order first. Free popcorn doesn’t hurt, either. Definitely a great spot and I plan to return the next time I can round up some backup singers!
