Went here earlier today. Picked up three combo-sandwiches. All three of us enjoyed them immensely! Super tasty! Two had hot peppers and one had sweet peppers. Fantastic! The owners also couldn’t have been nicer and more genuinely appreciative of our business. Really great to see!

Phenomenal beef sandwich w a great Giardiniera. Best beef on the south side. I created a beef buffet for the meal before my wedding(for the groomsmen). Pop’s Beef & Giardiniera, Marco’s Beef & Giardiniera and of course Portillo’s beef & Giardiniera. Best custom combo was: Portillo’s Beef & Pop’s Giardiniera Best original combo was: Marco’s Beef & Giardiniera

This place has the best beef sandwiches around! It beats Pop’s HANDSDOWN! They have great hot peppers, poppers, funnel cake… Just like the ol’ neighborhood. We don’t have many good«joints» to grab some food, either sandwich places, a few cheap ass taco stands and a drive through. But Marco’s is really good. The bread of the beef sandwich was toasted and the food peppers, again, were fantastic!(Beef, too, LOL) The staff is really nice people, you know. True South Siders. GOTHERE! We’re going to cater our summer event from there! I’m SOLD.

Great food fast. Love the grilled chicken on wheat pita and the burgers are excellent. I have always meant to try the beef sandwich and plan to very soon. Also the staff is extremely friendly and will make your food just the way you like to to order.

Ordered a 7 $ chicken salad. Ate it & walked out starving. Put some bird on that next time.

Oustanding BEEF –so yummy. you can get it made juicy with cheese –yummo! They have other great items –like chicken sandwiches, frys, hot dogs, onion rings… Everything is so good. Their beef sandwich can’ t be beat though. Best on the south side. Great place for kids!

Italian beef is ok; Pops is infinitely better. But Marco’s has funnel cake. Staff is friendly and service quick.

I had the Marco’s beef special that came with fries and a soda. The sweet peppers were roasted and had a great taste. The beef was a little dry for being wet. They gave me a basket of fries and they were well done the way I like them The parking is a little slim because of the gym next door. But the people were friendly and the service was fast.

Italian beef is required, gives Portillo’s a run for it’s money. Fast friendly service. Yet seeing people on treadmills next door is still odd to me. But they have the best beef in town!

This is a great place to grab a quick lunch. They are located down the block from where I work: The Beverly Arts Center. The staff there frequently orders lunch here, especially in the summer since it is within walking distance. The staff at Marco’s Beef is friendly, warm and helpful. They rarely ever make a mistake with your order, the food is cooked fast and always delicious. Plus — they are always happy to put up the BAC’s posters and flyers — they really support our programming.

If you turn around and look directly behind you here, right after they hand you your polish sausage at the counter, you will notice that on the other side of the glass are sweaty, angry looking people working out on treadmills. This ice cream, beef and grease joint is in the same building as a Cardinal gym. I’m not sure whether it motivates someone stuffing their face with one of Marco’s fried dough sundaes to start leading a healthier path, or if it serves as a motivation for people doing cardio to see fat slobs like me in there eating corn dogs, but the juxtaposition is fascinating to consider. I, of course, have only seen the action from the food side of the building looking in at the sweat. The food is all good and very homey, like the polish I had today(PETA still doesn’t have me yet — HA!) was like if your mom went into the kitchen and made it for you — you know, sliced it down the center and fried it in a pan with some onions — Awesome. This place also wears the new crown for best banana shake. That’s right, Janson’s has been defeated y’all. The shake here is just tastes drenched in vanilla — it’s like a liquid banana pudding. I’m glad I got the medium though, because those damn runners in the other room have a way of making you feel … guilty. But cash only — grrrrr I can’t stand that — so the ATM they have inside there has an extra $ 4 bucks of mine now… grrrrumble… But they get big time(Jesus, maybe too literally«big time». sigh. I’ve got to stop eating like this…) points for having, Red Pop(the boy’s favorite) fried dough and corn dogs. And did I mention the real carrot cupcakes made from scratch in a bakery case along with — Twinkies. Even I couldn’t make that shit up. They also have a whole separate menu catering to the people at the gym, with high protein lower-fat options like stuff with egg whites in it, or whatever, but since I was sucking on a shake I wasn’t checking all of that out so much.
