Wow! I was SO impressed with the customer service. It was my first time here so I asked to try the tzatziki sauce. She not only did she give me sauce, but also two pieces of gyro meat… and WOW it was amazing! You can tell that they buy top of the line quality products. The sauce was homemade and the fries are cooked with sea salt in extra virgin olive oil! So good!

I have to say I have past this place quite a few times, and never really gave it a second look. Until one day I was hungry and had no desire to cook. And this place being in my neck of the woods, I decided to stop by. I am really glad I did! This place had some delicious food. The Italian beef was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. And the fries were amazing, I wished I had gotten another order of them. They cook them in olive oil, man oh man are they delicious. The owners are warm and friendly. I will definitely be returning to this place to try some of their other items, and to grab some more of those delicious fries.

Went here based on Unilocal reviews. Not disappointed! Burger was big and juicy even though I forgot to ask for medium (so it came well done) and tons of toppings. Fries (extra $ 2 with burger free with some specialty sandwiches) were real potatoes cooked in real olive oil — delicious and healthier! Great little place for take out or to eat at counter.

This place is a must stop. The Italian beefs are great. I get the deep fried polish and cheese fries. I have had all the sandwiches and like this place very much. But they deep fry the polish for me and that is heavenly. Now I must tell you about the French fries. This is a must must must have item. These are what fries should be. Fresh cut, thin and crispy. I think they are cooked in olive oil. The best I have ever had. They are addicting. Also there is easy parking and when you leave go through the alley and out onto Cicero avenue at the light. Please don’t miss this place. It is sooo good.

One of, if not the best spot for a beef sandwich in the city. The beef itself is high caliber — it’s from the better front portion of the cow as opposed to the back like most spots get. The bread was fresh and delicious and the perfect size for a sandwich — not too big or small. At first, I was thrown off by the price (6.75) however, you get a massive unadvertised basket of olive oil fried french fries that can hold salt well. The best feature of Margies beef is the giardinera — it’s a first prize winning import from New York City and maybe the tastiest I’ve had — even more so than Tonys on Northwest Hwy. in Edison Park or Suzies in Irving Park. The quality of the olive oil itself is very high — worth the trip for this feature alone. Additionally, they give you cans of soda as opposed to the massive and unnecessary 64 Oz styrofoam Coleman thermos’ of their rivals — an aspect I respect. Take note, they have a parking lot so you don’t have to park on the street. Go here for a great beef sandwich.

Awesome little neighborhood spot to grab something to eat. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and it was great. I was very surprised at the quality of the ingredients. The place is very clean and staff is super friendly.
The owner came to say hello and even gave us a free dessert! I’ll definitely be back. A+ all the way around.

I had to wait 40 minutes for a double cheese burger that made me late for work never again

I was surprised at the size of the hot dogs I ordered. They were plump and juicy! I didn’t have to eat for a long while after having two of those and an order of fries. The woman behind the counter explained that they only use the best hot dogs they can find. They also make a point of using the best beef for their burgers, and they fry food in extra virgin oil. She said if people must eat fast food, why not have «mindful» fast food? The prices were reasonable, too. Don’t forget to ring the bell near the door before leaving to let the cooks know how good their food was!

This place is a gem! My boyfriend and I stopped in for a couple beef sandwiches and were not disappointed! So juicy and delicious! The man working up front even let me try some of the gyro and chili! All delicious! I also really loved how clean the place was. The owner even gave us some homemade bread pudding to go. Can’t beat this customer service. We will be back very soon!

This is a great little place on the west side of Chicago to get yourself a classic Chicago hot dog, a double cheeseburger the size of your face or a delicious Italian beef sandwich. And the fries… THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST FRENCH FRIES IN CHICAGO! Every time I go here I wish I’d picked up an extra order of fries. The fries alone are worth the trip here.
To be honest, the Italian beef is good, plentiful, but I have had tastier dipped beefs here in Chi-​town. The combo with mozzarella cheese is delicious. Check this place out. It’s just south of North Ave. on Cicero, right across from the Coca-​Cola distribution center.
