Maria Munoz, MD

I was today meeting dr. Maria and her girls in the office on Lawrence Ave. it was no waiting– my app was at 3:30 and they took me even few minutes earlier. Doc is fantastic! I was doing Implanon removal and IUD insertion during the same visit. She did both things almost pain free. She was quick, nice, amazing. And I was soooo afraid of doing both procedures. Dr Munoz made it the way I felt absolutely comfortable. Thank you very much. And her staff, both girls were so nice and helpful. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have been coming to this gynecologist since September 2012 and am satisfied with service. The receptionists are patient and nice. Dr. Munoz is a nice lady and takes her time with the exam and answers any questions you have. The wait is not as long as the other review say, maybe because I’ve been there at a good time. I’ve waited and got my exam done in an hour the most. They accept the pink card as well.

WORST PLACE EVER. I had an appointment at 9:00 in the morning and wasn’t seen until almost 11:30. The waiting area is dull at best. Unbelievably unprofessional. The doctor really pressed her religious beliefs on me and said that if I prayed and went to Church things will be better for me. Imagine my surprise. My personal beliefs are my own. she crossed the line.
After I had my blood tests done I asked if the doctor could call me with the results. I was told «if the doctor FEELS like calling you she will». Otherwise you will have to come in. I politely said I would go someplace else.
I would like to add that the room was filled with a ton of young, pregnant, more than likely illegals waiting to be seen.
Save your time… go to another doctor.

I would like to comment on Dr. Munoz as a doctor but I cannot, as I actually did not stick around her office for an exam. Locating her office is difficult because it is in an undisruptive building with no signs, it was very difficult to find and you better forget about parking. I finally arrived to her office and was greeted by a waiting room filled with solemn almost sad looking women. Why were all these women so sad? I would soon find out… because they were waiting for HOURS! There were so many women waiting for the doctor that there were not enough chairs for us all. The waiting room is barren and depressing. There weren’t even any magazines to read. After waiting 2 hours I finally asked the receptionist how much longer I would have to wait. «Hmmm…let me look for you, well it looks there are 4 people in front of you so possibly another hour wait.» A 3 hour wait to see a doctor! Forget it! Unless you have nothing going on in your life and can afford to spend half your day at the gyno I do not suggest visiting Dr. Munoz’s office.

Well for starters, I have been having this problem with my pelvis for over a month. I have already seen a few doctor’s and none seem to be getting what I was having problems with. Well I took it upon myself to find a OBGYN because it is very difficult to get an appointment. I was pleased that they were able to get me in so soon, and the doctor seemed really nice and OLD. Well anyways the reason for my one star is she took a urine test from me to see if she could see what was going on internally and said that the results would be in three days. Well come saturday morning I called DR. MUNOZ and left a message with her receptionist to please let me know the results. The receptionist said she would relay the message… guess what no phone call! SO I leave a message on the machine Sunday and please ask that she get back to my Monday with the results. No Phone call. Then I call back to speak to the receptionist who clearly says she got my message in the morning and she left it on the doctor’s desk… guess what NO PHONE CALL! I think that this is very unprofessional because I think it is only right for you to call a patient back even if it’s to say we didn’t find anything, lets continue testing or something! Very upset and will never come to this clinic EVER!
