My husband went here for some egg sandwich months ago when we were visiting our daughter. He raved about it. We were in the neighborhood today and took our almost 1 year old grandson. My husband had the egg sandwich again and said it was excellent. He ordered some fresh fruit for us to share with our grandson and it was delicious… strawberries, canteloupe and pineapple. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken. There was a ton of feta, which I love and the salad seemed freshly made. Someone I am assuming is the owner made it a point to come to our table to make sure all was ok and my husband said he did this last time. The service was very, very quick, the food was excellent and we always appreciate an owner asking us if all is ok and thanking us twice for coming in. We will be back!

Was in neighborhood and was looking for a lunch spot with good fresh relatively healthy options. Ordered the Maries reuben combo. W/chicken soup. Food was very good however matched with the family customer service approach and attentiveness made the experience full circle top notch. Would highly recommend for lunch and would definitely be back.

We stopped in after the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk and had the best lunch. This place is so lovely. From the music to the service, we had a fantastic experience. The food is homemade and delicious. We had the guacamole, the Mac and cheese, tomato soup, and chicken salad sandwiches. We finished everything and even ordered dessert! We will definitely be back again!

I work at a local business and we order lunch as a group from here often. The food is amazing and everyone always enjoys it. The owner is super attentive; he ALWAYS thanks me for our business, even though he is not working the front counter. I am always super impressed by his courtesy. I took one star away bc as great as the owner is, the counter girls are lackluster. They just take your money and hand you your food, no signs of courtesy or customer appreciation. Also, most places let call in orders come right to the front to pick up their food. But I was made to wait one day while 3 people in front of me placed their orders and paid; all while watching my food sit on the counter getting cold. The food is the best in the area and the owner truly appreciates the business… you have to visit this place.

Very fast delivery, and no delivery fee! Order the phili steak, good flavor but can barely see any cheese, double burger with egg bun, meat little bit over cook, maybe that’s the way they prepare it, other reviewer has the same problem… chili dog is ok, flys pretty and patato salad is very good

I really like this place. The food is made to order so it is always fresh, the fries are DELICIOUS. I came here with my one year old and my husband and of course our daughter started having a fit toward the end of our meal, the girls working actually helped us clean up and threw away our garbage for us and when I was cleaning up the mess she left on the floor they said not to worry and helped me clean it up. I hate when my kid leaves a mess behind so it was really nice of them to help us clean that up. I had the turkey club and fries, it was delicious, the turkey burger is also really good. I am a HUGE fan of the«I ate the whole thing wrap and the buffalo wrap». The food here is really good. The ONLY grip I have is that it is kind of expensive for a family to eat here. But I do believe in you get what you pay for. So we don’t come very often or as often as I would like to, but the food is always really good, the service is always great, and they have yummy baked goods at the counter to tempt you hhahah!

The thing I enjoyed most about this place is the easy going and friendly attitude of the owner. Even at early morning hours he was attentive to the customer and table checked multiple times. The menu is expansive and everything is fresh to order. You can taste the fresh ingredients and while the restaurant may sometimes be sparsely occupied the quality of the food is well done. I would definitely consider catering/delivery.

Place is okay. Great salads. Kinda pricey. Owners are a little impersonal and never smile.

I order a double cheeseburgers, chili and fries for delivery. Despite what others have said overall it was really, really bad. The chili was nasty, way too much chili powder… Ewe. The burger taste burnt, the fries were okay. Maybe it was an off day, just ewe. I would not recommend this

Always love coming back here. Beautiful fresh ingredients in everything and the poblano cheddar soup is AhMAZING! Love the atmosphere and, as always, great tunes. My family orders out from here a couple times a week, a great option for folks who need good, delicious nutritious food delivered at home. I love the care that is always taken in making sure everything arrives ready to serve. Great asset to the neighborhood !

I received an email for ten dollars off for groupon takeout and decided to see what I could use it for in my neighborhood. One of the options was for Marie’s Café. I had passed by this place daily and must’ve said a thousand times that I wanted to check it out, now was my chance. Upon looking at the menu, I knew I had to try their burgers. I decided to create a burger and added Gouda, mushrooms, bacon, and wasabi mayo. Amongst lettuce, tomato. Etc. After taking my first bite, I was so upset. Upset that I had not come here years ago! It’s so hard to find a good homemade burger and this place has nailed it. I was so impressed! Even the fries were amazing… I will be a customer as long as this place exists. Keep up the great work, it’s so hard to find restaurants with fresh ingredients! I can’t wait to try the soup and sandwiches.

I had to come back to edit my 5 star review from years ago because of how bad this place has gotten. The owners seriously deserve to be put out of business for how horrible their customer service is. They are unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. Ran into the male owner at a local business and he was screaming at a female employee who was clearly trying to calm him down and I felt so bad. I will NEVER go back to such a terrible place.

My husband & I went for the first time today. We found the prices a little high. We both ordered sandwiches-mine the chicken salad & his the roast beef. The chicken salad was good but I felt it had to much mayo or whatever it’s made out of… my husband was given a new sandwich after we were told they were out of what he ordered. The fries were great. I also wasn’t to keen on people wearing flip flops behind the counter. I feel in a food service establishment actual shoes should be worn as I believe it’s a health code violation. Also maybe an idea of matching shirts. I couldn’t tell who worked there cuz no one had on shirts saying the name of the establishment on it.

This is a great place — especially across from the park. It has a Panera-like vibe, but it’s nice it’s a local business and not a chain. I’ve stopped by a handful of times and tried both the breakfast and lunch items. Most recently my wife and our 11 month old stopped by after some fun at the park. The prices are ok, the quality is very good(the side of fruit was a good portion and very fresh) and so is the customer service. We’ll be back again. PS — The paninis are very good.

This place has gone downhill. Most of the light bulbs are burnt out, scratches all over the walls, dirty carpet, soggy lemons. My wrap was all romaine lettuce(~80%) with minimal amounts other toppings and my fruit was old and soggy. I would have never served it to a customer. All that accompanied with the unjustifiably high prices($ 5 for a small CUP of regular ol’ chicken noodle? Come on!) means I won’t be back. I have come here at least 10 times now ordering different menu items each time and I can honestly say I have not been impressed by any of them. All have been average at the very best. At least the owners seem like nice people, hence the one star.

This place is pretty good. I have gone here a couple of times and gotten their sandwiches both times. They were pretty good and full of flavor. I got fries with both of my fries and both times they were a little brown which created a bitter flavor. My boyfriend got the pasta salad with his sandwhich and while the pasta salad was delicious it was pathetically small. I mean it was in a container you normally put a side of ketchup in. This is very, very disappointing. The service was very prompt and friendly. I have nothing bad to say about that. I may want to try some other stuff they have here, but I’m not itching to try it again.

After driving past this place countless times we finally tried it, and wow! We have only tried the burgers so far, but when you find a good burger it’s hard to not order that. We did try the fried pickles, which I have never had before, and I loved them. I hope to make it past the burgers, and try something else, but we’ll see.

Time to skip your those chain shops and go to Marie’s. The food is fresh and custom made to order. The owners are there at least 99% of the time and always genuinely thank everyone that comes in. If you love a good burger, try Marie’s. I can’t even pick a favorite, they are all so good. Their side options are awesome as well, especially the seasoned fries. Bottom line, support this local business and you won’t be disappointed. You’ll be treated like a valued customer from the moment you walk in the door and the food will keep you coming back for more.

Let them eat cake! …or burgers, salads, and paninis. Marie’s surely has something to satisfy most any appetite. I enjoy this little sandwich shop so very much. It’s perfect for a snack or a juicy burger with yummy toppings. Hellooooo Pretzel Roll and fried egg with cheese! A cup of tomato bisque or their turkey club always hits the spot. Love that they feature cut-up, fresh fruit each day and offer tasty coleslaw, potato/pasta salad as a side rather than just fries. Their teas(both hot and chilled) are delightful, with my favorite being the cool Hibiscus. Solid food from kind folks that’s made to order; a nice alternative when you want to break from the chains. Wonderful to see them employing local teens. Discounts available for Police, Fire, and Military personnel. After a meal, grab a menu(they deliver) and a giant, soft cookie to take home or dive into a bit of moist, generously-sliced cake when your tooth is running sweet. You can always cross the street and walk the calories off at ‘Mt. Greenwood Park”…well…err…the first bite’s worth anyway. Every bit helps! Some unaccompanied youngsters can get a bit silly in here now and again, but the smart ones are afraid of me so I’m sure to make eye contact and give a disapproving glare. My back-up method may or may not involve ice cubes… and a keen aim for the torso. I kid… I kid. *darts eyes* *The infamous phrase, «Let them eat cake.», was first documented in French Literature entitled«Confessions» …written while Marie-Antoinette was still just a child. It was attributed to an anonymous Princess. The line has been forever linked to Marie in error. The more you know… *tosses you a star* ;)
