The park has been under new management for a few years. The course itself is one of the longest of the 9 hole city courses. Easy to lose balls in the bushes or water. Seems that water runs next to most of the holes. The staff is the biggest reason we play here so much. Kelli is amazing! I have played Marquette for a number of years and it has definitely improved. Be careful on days just after a heavy rain. Carts are usually not for rent on those days because the course is flooded. Sometimes they let you use the carts and just play 1 – 5 twice. Pretty cool. They also have a range across the street from the course.

Yeah, the conditions weren’t perfect, and there weren’t any carts available, but it’s a great course! One of longest and most challenging 9 hole courses in the area, and some very pretty views.

Great golf course. Superfriendly staff. They fired the old management. Very reasonable prices. Very safe. Chicago police patrol the perimeter very closely. The staff at the clubhouse is very knowledgeable and friendly. a great value.

The staff was incredibly friendly and as efficient as they could be with the slow process of needing to document all golfers. The course is burned out and weeds have taken over most of the fairways and rough. Although, were it not for the weeds, we’d have had nothing green to hit off of. There is so much garbage floating around the course that it reminds me of most Illinois state parks, except that in this case it’s not free, it’s $ 30 for the most pitiful 9 holes of golf(I struggle to associate the word ‘golf’ with Marquette Park).
