This place pre sells cards then claims not to have them if the card spikes in value. They kindly offer you a refund you may or may not actually get. Then since they lied and actually did have the card … they put it up on their site at the higher price and completely screw you over. Then you have to chase them down by email, land phone, cell phone just to simply get the cards you ordered and paid for that they refuse to sell to you because they are butthurt that the price rose.

So far they have stolen $ 144 from me via their online website and have not refunded a dime. I’ve opened complaints via PayPal and the BBB after multiple email and phone requests for refund. Additionally few have had anything good to say about this place in the online places. Don’t know if the same guy is associated with this place now, but it certainly seems that way. Please stay away at all costs. You are only funding a theif.

Amazing selection; they’re a specialty store, and they do their specialty better than anyone else in Chicago. You can find all sorts of cards there, from Unhinged to Beta to New Phyrexia. Definitely worth a look!

How do I make myself sound cool while writing a review of a Magic: The Gathering shop? Wholly impossible. MTG is chock full of nerdy goodness. They provide a calendar constantly full of events and tournaments for you to cast your level 9 domination spells. We attended a well run midnight launch tournament for the new set. The hardcores who attended were NOT the stuck-up dorks you’d expect to partake in such an event. Good people play at MTG. I suppose the only down side is that it’s a no frill space and a little cluttered. But who really goes to a hobby shop for ambiance? Those people do not exist.
