Location, location, location and this one is POOR.
Not only is it tucked into some desolate of Chicago, it offers very little in the way of refreshments. Yes, by refreshments, I mean food and drink!
As it is in the middle of nowhere, don’t expect to walk to restaurant or coffee joint. The surrounding businesses are strictly non food stuffs (dry cleaners, etc.). There is a Papa Johns a few blocks away, but it looked closed.
The in joint offerings include Starbucks and Corner Bakery. Yes, just two that I uncovered. There is a tiny food court – I think it includes three total businesses (and one is CB).
The prices are sky high – energy drink and medium coffee = 9 bucks. Am I at the movie theater?
You’ll also wait, wait, wait. As events here tend to be crowded affairs, you’ll be in heavy competition for that mozzarella sammich. I waited nearly 14 minutes to buy aforementioned over priced coffee and energy drink.
The facility itself is nice – spacious and clean, but the lack of available food options and the high cost of eating from a limited pool of options makes conferences here on the dreadful end of awful.
