I’ve been going to Dr. Mintz for over 10 years– he was a recommendation from an ex-boyfriend. I especially was sensitive because I had come from a really BAD dentist. Dr. Mintz is very accessible by the El(its right off the brown line literally) if you don’t have a car and he has parking spaces if you do. His hours are decent, his personality is nice and most of his staff is decent. The only complaint I have is sometimes his receptionists don’t know how to talk well on the phone.(Meaning they are very pushy to get you in for an appointment before they’ve even talked to you to find if you have time to talk). His regular assistant is awesome, too bad she’s not the phone person.

I’ve been going to Dr. Mintz for about twenty years, and he is a great dentist. He provides great customer service, very flexible hours, decent prices, and is always available for emergencies, well above and beyond the call of duty. And he is a very nice fellow and runs a friendly, casual office. Oh, and excellent dental technique too, by the way! Five stars all the way.

I’ve gone to Dr Mintz for almost 7 years now and think he is a great dentist. He is welcoming, professional, keeps appointments on time and always very pleasant. Plus he works super fast so you are in an out quick. Another great thing about Dr Mintz is that he does not lecture you or make you feel silly like many doctors do. I even got my husband to start seeing him this past year and he actually doesn’t mind going to the dentist now– especially since Dr Mintz lets you watch the cubs game while he works on you:)

Just okay. His personality is pleasant, if a bit bland, and his work was competent. Had a root canal done, and it was fine, but he uses various common dentists tricks to maximize profits, such as insisting on completing half a procedure on your first visit, and making you come back(and thereby charging you for another office visit) to complete the task. In my view, this is unethical, so approach with caution.
