I saw Dr. Nho for a labral hip tear. He basically said that there are no other options than surgery. I had been through PT, massages, etc… so I know what it means that nothing else can be done. Dr. Nho’s team got back to me at lightening speed and answered all of my pre-​surgical and post-​surgical questions. I am post-​op day 2 and feel great. I actually feel better now than I did before. Kudos to them!!!

Dr. Simon Lee is the best! He did my surgery after I broke my ankle in 4 places in tibia and fibula both! Yup, 4 places, wearing some heels. A week after my surgery, I went on a trip across country to lift my spirits! I definitely appreciated that Dr. Lee is progressive with his treatment: I only had a cast for barely 3 weeks before SL sent me to PT, and I was walking before I knew it without troubles or pain. This was better to keep me from loosing more muscle than necessary in the affected leg.
In contrast, a friend of a friend was without insurance when he suffered the same injury I had, and ended up having his ankle plating done at cook county. He suffered through the surgery without adequate pain meds, and still has pain when he walks! Big no no!!! This is a foot you have to walk on here, trust it to the best! I definitely appreciate how quickly I recovered especially after such a severe fracture, and will return to SL if I choose to have these plates removed.
I was amazed by how many people were in the waiting room (yes, they’re busy!) but they treat with so many things.. . older people with arthritis had the same surgery I had to treat the arthritis.. . I overheard in the waiting room the dr. s at Midwest scheduled appointments with other physicians when patients needed multiple treatments (skin grafting, etc). Well I spent a lot of time there and was amazed at all they do! Definitely grateful to Simon Lee and his team for having me from a very severe injury to back to business. If you have a clean break, you can go to your local ortho, but if you need a surgeon, you can’t beat Rush. It’s not cheap, but he take BCBS PPO and it’s your leg we’re talking about!

Once you get past the complete pandemonium that is the waiting room, these guys are great. They were on time, quick, professional, and friendly.
I went to see Dr. Simon Lee about a running injury. They took three x-​rays before I saw the doctor, then showed me back to an exam room. I’m not much of an athlete and was sort of embarassed that I hurt myself, but they were cool. Dr. Lee completely understood that I can’t just quit running and helped talk me through what I can do to stay in the game. A handful of free-​sample meds (yay, free!), a script for PT, and a brace later, I’m glad I went.
