Short answer: Mike George knows the muscle system profoundly, and knows how to optimize muscle’s functioning. Mike explains everything he sees, and does(which I love). He has been extremely helpful to me over the last month, and given me an understanding of how my exercises are working and not working. He’s also given me a new set of exercises specifically designed to strengthen my weaker areas. Here’s a longer answer covering my experience working with Mike this January. During my lunch workout at Lateral Fitness(awesome gym), I’d gotten to know Mike very casually, as I’d often see him when he was training others one-to-one. When I developed a case of tennis elbow back in November(self diagnosed), Mike kindly offered to take a look at it, mentioning shoulders are often the cause of elbow issues. We met 3 times in the first half of January, and the effects have been profound. On our first meeting, Mike did some direct muscle stimulation around my elbows and more. He also noticed/mentioned my posture was off, and my arms didn’t straighten. Sheesh! I thought I was fit. Clearly, he knows the structure and muscle systems of the human body, as he put all the issues together, realizing the my body was essentially curling forward. My arm and shoulder muscles had been ‘allowed’ to shorten with my slight forward-curling posture. On our second and third meeting, he gave me exercises designed to lengthen my shortened muscles in my shoulders and arms, and activate and strengthen my back muscles. He also gave me simple pointers on attaining correct posture.(Shoulders down and back, chest UP). Since then, I’ve been back to working out on my own, but have been sure to include all the exercises Mike gave me into my routine. NET: My posture has improved(but I have to constantly remind myself) My tennis elbows is almost gone(and improving daily) My arms are getting straighter every week I now know that Mike is there for any future issues I may have. Great trainer for certain!
