I gave them one star because its the bare minimum. I would really give them about a negative 15. Never again. I rented at their wheeling, IL property for over a year when I took a job out of state and had to move. I tried to arrange something with them to end my lease early and the only way they would communicate is through email. I called the office numerous times to get no one on the line. So, since I had no choice but to leave (after I informed them more than once) I moved out. It took them almost 20 days to realize I wasn’t there. As soon as they did I started getting harassed endlessly. I left furniture in the apartment which should have been no issue for their maintenance to throw out. In the time I lived there I witnessed that exact scenario many times over. When I moved in I was not charged a security deposit, as their company does not require one .Now they are suing me and filing criminal reports for damages. Damages in the name of cabinet doors and interior doors that I removed. Once again, all the hardware, doors and pieces are still there. I also read the lease to make sure that was not an issue. Their community is completely crime infested. I was harassed many times by other people living there, it constantly reeks of people smoking pot and its filled with criminals and sex offenders. When I asked them that, they replied with that they background check everyone. You might want to check again because I ran my own checks after running into numerous problems, and you have plenty of criminals living there. I’d steer as clear of this place and any of their properties as you can. You may pay less, but you’ll get what you pay for in this case. MLC Properties is the most degrading, unprofessional management company out there. All the emails and communication I had with them were blatant personal insults and accusations against my personal character. I’ve rented around the Chicago area for over ten years and this is the worst I’ve ever encountered. Spend a little more money for the peace of mind and rent with a big name company. You won’t regret it.

I LOVED living in the Flossmoor apartments so much that I stayed there for two years! I had a huge studio apartment and it was a great place to live. The apartment was well looked after and Miguel, the maintenance man, was super friendly and helpful. The owner is great and cracks a lot of jokes too. If you’re looking for a place in the south suburbs, you cannot get a safer place to live or a more beautiful apartment! The location is near everything and I walked almost everywhere! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Moved in and rent is cheap. Never felt safe here! Always brake in’s. The Best part was anytime you have an issue with the apartment. It’s your fault. I had roachs and bedbugs at this place. I come from a wealthy family and this was so gross. They told me I brought them in. I said funny, then why is there roach gel in my cabniets and on the base board. They also tryed telling me that I brought the bed bugs from work. Impossiable when the whole building was infested. They would crawl all over the hall ways. Went door to door and got signatures. I guy had them for 2 years. But couldn’t afford to mover. So I called them and they kicked me out. I called the city and had the inspectors come out. They fined this company. Turns out all there building are infested. Don’t rent from them. I warning everyone.
