Leaving a neutral 3-star review because the hours seem to be wrong. Here it is, 11 am. Closed. Locked. No sign of life. Very disappointing after parking on a side street and fighting the wind on an 11° day.

I love discovering new up and coming places in Rogers Park. and today I found a gem of a place, Welcome to Ms. Vett’s Way! Upon entering you will find a small restaurant interior, there are I believe 4 small tables for eating in and counter area as well. Now, Ms. Vett’s specialty may be Soul Food, or comfort food but their menu is quite extensive, breakfast will be served Monday through Saturday from 9am-8pm, they have burgers and hot dogs, chicken wings, seafood and daily specials too! This place may be small inside but it’s big in heart, every employee that I met today made me feel so welcome! I truly loved this place, I have always loved genuine places without all the pretense and Ms. Vett’s fits the bill. And, I did order some soul/comfort food today and I was served up some of the best spaghetti I have ever had, and salsbury steak, equally as delicious. I think Ms. Vett’s deserves to be recognized because right now they are a gem but definitely on their way to being a shining star. So, I would urge you to trek on over to Ms. Vett’s on Western Avenue in West Roger’s Park. cause there’s more than a little soul going on in here. It’s coming from their heart too, and it shows…

Great, quick, quality service. Come here almost every day for lunch and have enjoyed it every time. The staff really wraps it together by being super friendly and attention to detail. Must try the Philly Cheese Steak.

I’ve only done delivery but their wings and burgers are great. Fast delivery, and they’ve called to let me know it’s on the way. Definitely coming back for more.

I come to get my taco fix only because it’s close by. Nothing out of the ordinary, and definitely nowhere near authentic, but they do the job. I like that they put everything on them instead of choosing between cilantro/onion or tomato/lettuce. Get them on Tuesdays between 3 – 4 when they’re a dollar. Wish their hot sauces weren’t so mild. Also, Ms Vett and the rest of the staff are really friendly and fun to be around :)

My wife and I have ordered from Ms Vett’s a TON over the past couple of months. We love it – great delivery burgers(NOT mushy or cold by the time you get them like a lot of places). The mac and cheese is good, as are the french fries. And the spaghetti burger is pretty darn swell. Delivery has always been super quick, too. Only two things I would change about this place – I really wish they were open later(Sometimes you get a 10 pm Burger Urge!). I hate having to order from somewhere else where the food won’t be as good. Also, I there are a few menu items on Grubhub that are confusing – the Double Bacon Burger is only available as a combo special, not ala carte. Same for the Pizza Puff. That seems silly – what if I want a Pizza Puff to go with my burger? But, seriously, keep up the good work!

I really enjoyed my food. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. This restaurant has great food and the service is outstanding. Everytime I come to Ms. Vett’s Way the cashier has been so nice and inviting. Ms. Vett’s Way is a place you can call home and eat something different everyday. #Thewaytoenjoyfood

The only thing that I enjoyed at this restaurant was the cheese fries. Perhaps I ordered the wrong items. The spaghetti was mushy, the salisbury steak was dry and lacked flavor, and the blackeyed peas were hard and tasted like vinegar. Based on the other review, I may have just ordered the wrong items. I’m going to give them another try, but so far I am not a fan.
