My Moving Liaison

Michele is wonderful to work with. She has an easy-​going personality. She is flexible and responsive to time, budget, and goals. She has a keen eye for details, color, and style.
Michele managed the staging for my Wicker Park condo. She planned, coordinated rental and purchased furniture as well as re-​purposed accessories artfully and brightened the beauty and charm of my home. She will work as much or as little as you want her to. My husband and I wanted someone who would handle from beginning to end of the project with minimal input from us. Still, Michele would share design and color ideas with us via Pinterest.
She incorporated most of the existing furniture as well as selected paint colors for the kitchen and bathroom walls, and vanity. She helped transform our rooms from drab to fab (trite, I know.) From the get go, even before we signed a contract with her, she suggested that we paint an ugly, old-​fashioned vanity with chalk paint. It was the perfect solution to recreate a sophisticated look instead of buying a new one.
Michele is also trustworthy. While we were away, she worked on the finishing touches and let the carpet cleaners into the condo. She even painted an exterior window and door trim during the last hour.
The staging went so well that our real estate agent referred Michele to another client. Also, prospective buyers commented positively about the condo. We will hire Michele again when we move into our next home for her creative expertise!

I was referred to Michele by a friend of mine. I needed to clean out and arrange to have some items moved from my aunt’s two units in downtown Chicago.
I am on the west coast and needed the help of a local person before and during my trip there. Michele and I spoke on the phone ahead of time so she could get a feel for my «vision» for this clean out. Most of the work had been done previously, so this was arranging for items to be donated, shipped, or dumped.
I consider myself to be a typical non detail person, in that after two hours my eyes start to glaze over and I lose interest. Plus, clearing out a deceased relative’s place can be emotional. Michele was SUPERB at sensing my limits and sensitively stepping in to help.
When I got to the point where I just wanted stuff gone, she was able to see both the emotional worth and monetary worth of items. She would encourage me to hold onto things I might have given away. I am so glad I have those certain items now.
Michele is the ultimate professional in dealing with movers, packers, donation picker uppers, the cable company, anyone involved in the details. She is not a push over, questions when necessary, and is direct in her requests — never once being disrespectful to anyone.
She also drove an hour away to take a look at another relative’s house I was needing to clean out. More on that in another post.
I jokingly say that everyone needs a Michele in their life. She is a workhorse, a trusted person, and has an excellent way of dealing with all types of people. Michele made this project MUCH more efficient. Without her, it still might not be done.
Michele is worth every dollar she charges — and then some!

Michelle is amazing. I have ADHD and have struggled organizing my home. Michelle listened to my needs and developed systems that work best for me. Thanks to Michelle my life is more efficient and less stressful.

I was starting a new position at work and wanted a fresh start with my look and with Michele’s eye for fashion and putting it all together I love my new look. We talked a bit about what I was looking to do and how I had wanted to freshen up my wardrobe and style and she picked up on how I am a more visual person. I was very it eased that before we even got together to start going through my clothes Michele started building a Pinterest board for me with many ideas for outfits so I could visualize how pieces would look together. Then on the day we met we went through everything and I got to choose what was a keeper and what was not. I did not feel forced into discarding anything. She showed me how my current clothes worked together and snapped photos that she provided so I could refer back to them. We also made a list of item for me to consider adding to my closet. It was a wonderful experience and Michele has such great eye. She is fantastic at dressing contemporary to funk and has showed me how to create my own style.
