I saw Dr. Gracin this morning at Northwestern in the cardiology department — 675 N St Clair, not the location listed on Unilocal Not only is she a good doctor, but it is easy to tell that she is a good person. She seemed pretty certain that there are not any serious problems with my health, but she suggested I undergo some tests that I hadn’t done with previous doctors just so we could be sure. She did this in a way that was caring, and not talking down to me or dismissing my concerns. I had a great first impression of her because when she walked into my exam room she said«you’re the runner, right?» She made a point to know a little bit about me before talking to me, and that made me feel like she cared. At the end of my appointment she walked me out and gave me a nice firm handshake and promised me that she would make her best effort to help me. I thought to myself… jeez, there just aren’t doctors like this around anymore. Even though I haven’t even completed any testing yet, I still consider this doctor’s visit a success… finding a good doctor is half the struggle!
