I’ve been seeing Edda, the owner since 2008. She’s a magician with scissors, a straight blade or a razor! My hair is thick and curly and she makes it look great. Her cuts grow out so well, I can go eight weeks without seeing her. I’m devoted to Edda.

I have been a fan of Natural Elements Salon for 11 years. I love this place because the service is excellent and the staff is knowledgeable and educated in the ways of beauty! The atmosphere is classy and professional, yet relaxed and friendly. The salon is clean and well managed. My appointments have always started on time, unlike other places, where a customer may be kept waiting for up to 20 minutes.
Scott Montgomery is the stylist I have been going to for the entire 11 years. I stick with him because «If it is not broken, then do not fix it!» Scott is great. He is a master of hair color and has always given me precisely the color and nuances I want. If I desire a slight change, he happily accommodates me. It is about what his client wants and he is there to deliver.
Scott is fun to talk to, very down to earth, witty, intelligent and extremely personable. It is truly a pleasure to spend my salon time with him. I highly recommend Scott for any hair needs you may have!

I had my hair done with Edda — she was open and communicative, which made the final color process beautiful! As an analytical person, I really appreciate the security I had in her sitting and hearing me when I talked about my expectations. I felt secure while in the chair because of the level of communication we had before and during the process. She understood the security I needed for the hair change and made sure I felt it! I would recommend her, especially if you ordinarily feel insecure with stylists!

I really love this salon, and my overall experience there. Quality service, a wonderful experience with the each person, and it feels great to be there!

This is an awesome place! I feel like I walked into a top notch spa where I am treated like a true Princess! The massages when I get my hair washed is excellent with a ashbowl that doesn’t treat you like a contourtionist!‘LOve that place and all the people!!!

Edda is not only a technically solid stylist and colorist, she showers you with caring while you’re in her chair. She is not just styling my hair, she is helping me reflect my own inner beauty. She has never given me a cut that wasn’t completely «me.» She’s been cutting our whole family’s hair for about 7 years.

Edda, the owner, has cut my hair for years. I’ve been following her from location to location since she was an intern. I won’t let anyone else cut my hair. She recently did my cut and color, to correct some problems that had occurred when I had done my own coloring, and I’m getting many compliments on my hair. She’s doing my hair and makeup for my July wedding. I like Natural Elements overall. Jordan is an excellent aesthetician. The folks who answer the phone are gracious and efficient. I can find free street parking when I come on weekends and evenings, which amazed me in Lincoln Park. Overall, a great place!

Edda has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. I wouldn’t go to anyone else! So it was a given that I would follow her to her new salon, Natural Elements. It’s a beautiful place. Relaxing and warm. The staff is attentive and make sure that I have everything I need from the call reminder before my visit, to making sure I have something to drink and read while I’m there to having my next visit scheduled before I leave. Recently I treated myself to a make-​up lesson including adding new Spring colors to my make-​up bag! I look forward to each of my visits!

This place is my jam. I’ve been going to Natural Elements for years now but figured it’s time I write a review. Alexis is my go-​to gal for a haircut and I love her. I’m kind of picky about my hair (yup, I’m one of those girls who has cried after a so-​so haircut), and after a string of bad haircuts in Chicago a few years ago, I am relieved I found this place.
The whole experience of coming here feels like such a treat. The shampoo/​head massage is amazing… sometimes I drift off into a sublime state of relaxation and forget what I’m there for.
Alexis strikes a great balance between listening to what you want, but being honest in her opinion. I’ve recommended Natural Elements/​Alexis to about 4 – 5 different friends and all have had a great experience.

Edda is a fabulous stylist! She always listens to what I’m looking for, remembers what we have done before, even years before, and knows what works. She cut my bangs in a way that made them look great even as they grew out. Edda is easy to chat with, makes you feel comfortable in addition to doing a fantastic job. Last time I was in, she even found and purchased a product specifically for my hair which was just going above and beyond! That to me says you care and I was very impressed.
In addition to Edda’s talents, Natural Elements Salon is a joy to go to. The feeling there is relaxed with an attentive and incredibly nice staff. Not an air of pretension. And the shampoo sanctuary is the best ever! It’s a separate room with a fountain which is quiet and mellow. It has the most comfortable shampoo bowls I’ve ever laid my head on. And Carmen takes the time to not only massage your scalp but also clean off any extra color that might be on your face or ears. She’s wonderful.
Every time I leave Natural Elements I feel pampered and my hair feels so healthy. In addition, I got tons of compliments on my hair style which is always an extra bonus.

I used to go to Edda Coscioni for a cut when she was at Salon Lamia. I followed her to Natural Elements when she bought the salon. While it’s not as convenient for me, it’s worth the trip because I get a great cut at a reasonable price. I also enjoy the vibe at Natural Elements. It’s very relaxed and soothing. Plus, you can’t beat the wonderful shampoo you get beforehand. It’s like a spa visit for your scalp.

Edda is way more than a stylist. You’ve just gotta sit in her chair to experience the level of care that she puts into every client. She has helped me love my crazy curls, and cuts them beautifully. I highly recommend her!

I have nothing but wonderful words to say about Edda ! She is an amazing colorist, and stylist. I have only been going to her for about a year, and have followed her from her previous shop to her new beautiful new Lincoln Park digs. From the very first session I knew I had found the best person to care for my hair.
She always asks me what I want to accomplish that day, and that is so important. I have very difficult, thick, course hair and she ‘gets me” and understands how to make it work and behave. I always walk out feeling that I look FABULOUS!
It’s a comfortable, trendy, and beautiful shop too. Conversation is pleasant, and not forced, the music in the salon is not overbearing and relaxing yet fun, and her shampoo sinks are comfortable and the shampoo-​er takes their time massaging your scalp (love it!). The staff is super friendly.
Her prices are surprising reasonable for her Lincoln Park location and parking is no big deal, it’s been always available right in front. I love her!

Been going to Alexis for years now, for awhile I scheduled my appointments around trips home from Boston. A few things:
1. she is a master of colors — I love and get complimented on my color all the time!
2. great cut– she gives my hair so much body and texture– awesome
3. yesterday she did my hair and makeup for a wedding. My face looked great and thinner (WOW!) Got tons of compliments on both but esp. the natural look of the false lashes.
I can’t recommend Alexis enough– cut, color, getting gussied up for a special occasion– go see her!

Edda is great! I have been coming to her for years and always leave with a great men’s haircut that grows out looking great the whole time.

I have been getting my hair cut with Edda for years now. I love how at the beginning of each session she asks me what I am looking to create and helps me think through where I want to go and how it will work with my hair. Edda knows hair more than anyone I know. She knows how it will grow out and how to deal with my thick wavy hair as it transitions from a short pixie back down to a longer bob. I love her neck and scalp massages as she washes my hair too. Totally amazing. I’ve never known another stylist to take so much care with that. It’s usually just something to get through, but with Edda it’s an experience to savor.

I’ve been getting my hair cut with Edda now for years, and that’s saying a lot since I would typically travel up to 45 minutes just to get to her at her old salon. I’m absolutely thrilled she is in Chicago and conveniently located and close by because her legendary scalp massages, neck rubs and warm personality are just minutes away.
I look forward to each and every appointment with her as she’s always eager to try something new and can translate my man-​speak as I stumble through how it is that I want my hair to look. We’ve gone through many looks together– long, short, professional and sassy and I’ve loved them all.
I recommend her all the time to friends and working with her really does feel like going in to see an old friend. Each time I’m greeted with the warmest smile, the biggest hug, and her attention to detail about not just my hair and style, but my life and her genuine interest in how I’m doing will keep me coming back for years to come!

Edda is wonderful. I wish I could give her six stars! She seems to always know just what will look best on me. I think part of her skill, besides her cutting and coloring expertise, is her ability to listen to my concerns. I adore her!

I’m a brunette with long thick hair and had never colored my hair before. I googled «best colorists in chicago» and voila! I found Alexis at Natural Elements. Since it was my first time coloring my hair, I wanted to make sure I was going to someone who was great. I found out that all the colorists at Natural Elements are certified (not common among other salons).
Alexis was smart, gave good advice and really listened to what i wanted. and she was sooooooo good at it too! I wanted to do an ombré but didnt want it to be too drastic or look like someone dipped the ends of my hair. She gave me the most beautiful caramel and peanut butter shades and blended it so nicely with my natural hair color. I have gotten endless compliments about my hair and I honestly have yet to see an ombré that im envious of.
I will most definitely go back!!! Alexis is AMAZING at what she does! Not only that, the salon itself has a really cool vibe. Everyone is so polite and they have delicious hot drinks to enjoy during your visit (not that its a big deal, but its definitely a nice touch!).

I’ve recently started coming here and have been very happy. Katie does my hair and takes the time to listen, evaluate the condition of my hair, and makes great recommendations. I’ve gotten so many compliments and my hair looks and feels healthier then it’s been in quite some time.
Even though I live in the burbs, I have no problem making the trip in to the city. Everyone there is really nice and parking right outside the salon has not been a problem.
