I had a bunch of pants, shirts, and a jacket that needed cleaning before returning to a business trip. I brought them in early Friday morning and one of the pants needed hemming. Came back Saturday afternoon and my clothes were super clean and the pants fixed perfectly. Very professional! I’ll be making Nelly’s my go-​to.

This place is wonderful. Everyone working there is extremely polite and the service is amazing. My husband had a 3 week old strain on his shirt over his entire favorite dress shirt and she was able to get it out. I brought in the most delicate skirt and everything was perfect. Nelly does magic and not to mention this place is extremely affordable I was in shock! I will absolutely be going back to Nelly’s. Hands down the best service and she will work with you on everything!

Cheap, courteous, and FAST! I have often brought something in, planning on picking it up in a week, only to be told that it would be ready for the next day. The fact that they are open until 7 on weekdays is also great, because it gives me ample time to haul my butt down there after I get home from work.
No complaints here!

They ruined my sweater, and a dress and returned another dress missing a button. I have tried to give them a few chances but sorely disappointed. If you have stuff you don’t care about this is the place. But don’t bring any really nice things.

I took in a formal suit jacket that had sick on it. The woman at the counter was extremely respectful and offered to have it ready the next morning. I told her there was no rush so she said she’d have it done by the end of the week. I checked in to make sure it was finished before we left town for the holidays. It was ready but I wasn’t able to pick it up. Now, back in town I picked it up and was expecting to pay over $ 30 for a successful cleaning.
Nope! The jacket is 100% and the cleaning cost $ 7. That’s damn impressive.

I love this place. I definitely take advantage of their wash and fold. $ 0.70 a pound? How could I not? In two years they’ve never lost anything. I own a lot of things that are handmade and need to be dry cleaned, and they’re super affordable and everything looks great.
Just a tip, it is almost impossible for the dry cleaning process to ruin a garment. If shrinking or color loss occurs it is almost always the fault of the original manufacturer.

If you are a lady looking for a good deal — FORGET THIS PLACE!!!
If you want to pay $ 12 dollars to get a plain work dress dry cleaned then this is your place!!! If you want to pay 8 bucks to get a dress shirt dry cleaned yes this is the place.
If you want to pay 87 bucks for 7 items that plain no frills no alterations or stains — this is your place.
TOTAL RIP OFF and SLOW SERVICE. HORRIBLE

Great place for shoe fixes! Right down the street from my apartment, and the lady was very sweet.
Every girl knows that heels get worn down after a few hard nights on the town. I brought four pairs here that were no longer wearable because the heels were more nail than heel. They charged $ 12 per pair, and were done in 3 days. The repairs have held up quite well, and I plan to return to Nelly’s for other services as well.

At first I loved this place but the last two times I found that I had pieces missing. When I went back two weeks later they had my items but did not know who they belonged to and offered no apologies.

The first time I went here, they shrank and ruined 2 sweaters of mine, and refused to refund the cost. They said it was the fault of the place that does their cleaning off site, and they tried to «stretch» the sweaters back into shape, but it did nothing.
I’ve been going to Jin’s on Division, and not only have they done a better job, but it’s also cheaper.

DO NOT TAKE 100% silk here. I took a silk dress shirt I’d only worn once and it was completely ruined. I know these sorts of things can happen, but what makes it worse is that I’ve stopped in the store and called numerous times and they will not get back to me. I want to discuss with the manager of the store what to do next since they ruined my item, and it’s been a month since my first request to speak to the manager. They dry clean other items just fine, but this is just bad business on their part.

Love this new spot on Ashland! I’ve been waiting for it to open for a while.
Wonderful dry cleaning service. OK tailoring. To be honest, I’d probably take my alterations elsewhere but for sure drop off dry clean worthy clothes here.
The ladies are very friendly — always a bonus!

Nelly’s is a great new cleaners in the neighborhood. They are by far the cheapest drop off laundry service around at just .85 cents/​pound. Beats the dirty socks off of Sudz prices across the street. They do a great job at dry cleaning too and for very decent prices. I highly recommend checking this place out if you live nearby. They’re also open till 7pm and sometimes later which I know is nice for my boyfriend who doesn’t make it home till 6:45.
