Off Leash Canine

When we adopted our pit mix, Paxson, Nick was a life saver in helping us train and rehabilitate him. We really had no clue where to start, but Nick has helped Pax come so far from where he started, and has given us tips and the confidence to be good, responsible dog owners. He’s always willing to answer our questions and give us advice, and it’s clear that he’s very knowledgeable and comfortable around dogs of all types. We’ve also had Pax stay with Nick on a few occasions when we’ve gone out of town, and when we come back he’s so relaxed and we can tell he was well cared for. We’ll receive pictures of him while we’re away, including ones of him walking obediently off leash and socializing well with the other dogs in Nick’s care — things that would have been hard for us to imagine when we first rescued him! We are so appreciative for everything he’s done for us and Pax and would recommend him in a heartbeat!

We’ve had Nick do some private sessions with our dog Rocky, and then when we went out of town we enrolled him in his board and train, and have been very happy with our experience. Nick is great with dogs and great with Rocky. We highly recommend Nick, and we could see a difference in Rocky after even a few sessions. If you are looking for a good reliable, friendly dog trainer then Nick is the right person for you.

Nick is THE best at what he does. I first used Nick to train my Cane Corso puppy and now we are using Nick again for intermediate training. Nick is professional, knowledgable and is always available if I have a question. if you need a dog trainer this is the guy you want!

Let’s just say this man is a dog guru! I was referred to him by my father who is also very experienced with dogs. I have two very young pit bulls and my oldest one who was about 8 months at the time on our first session was not social the least bit. Unfortunately, my oldest dog Kannon actually bit Nick’s hand the very first time they met. His response was impressive. He took complete control over the situation and now both of my dogs love him to pieces and listen to him with the upmost respect. He honestly changed my views on pit bulls considering I’ve never owned one before, let alone two at the same time. My dogs are not only happier but, they are so much more behaved which makes my relationship with my them so awesome. It was a win-​win all around the table.
I’m only 22 years old and with juggling two jobs and being a full time student, he has made raising two pit bull puppies such an amazing and tolerable experience for me. A lot of people question me about how I even have time for one puppy, not to mention two. Nick is a true example of the dog being a reflection of their owner. Let’s just say my dogs weren’t the only ones being trained during the sessions! (:

Nick has done wonders with our severely separation anxiety-​ridden pit bull. Ike actually got kicked out of daycare because of his anxiety. He has learned confidence, and of course better obedience, through his trainings with Nick. Nick has an innate sense of understanding with both of my dogs. They love him and I trust him implicitly for training, walks, daycare and overnight as needed. Highly recommended!

Nick is AMAZING with dogs!!! He has this chill yet commanding vibe that dogs just gravitate towards. When we still lived in Chicago, I would leave my energetic, little maltipoo/​cockapoo with him over the weekend. My pup would always predictably come home happy and chilled out like he’d been at dog spa… and he was always more obedient to boot! I just wish he could’ve moved back down with us to Texas:)
In summary: awesome trainer, terrific personality, and one the best in Chi-​town!

Nick is the best! I have used Off Leash Canine dog walking services. My dog is always well taken care of, no accidents in the house, and I get a daily note. It’s a big bonus that Nick is also a dog trainer. I’ve noticed that my dog is behaving better on his walks. Previous companies that I have used sometimes «forgot» to come walk my dog, or my neighbors told me that they saw the dog walker dragging my dog down the street. This has not been the situation with Off Leash. Overall, I have one happy pup.
