I like the atmosphere, I like the cocktails. This place seems to have it all. My only concern is this — is everyone in here pretending that you don’t get a whiff of sewage now and then? What is up with that?! Honestly though, L&E is great, and this little add-on is cool if you’re waiting for a table, or just looking for a cocktail. I wish the bar was a little longer and they had another bartender. It takes a while to get a drink. I know, quality takes time, but they’re also just not set up to be super busy back here.

Love this place. Little bar in the back of L&E that has a scaled down menu, and donuts and snack things on the weekends. The bartenders are laid back, the ambiance relaxed(albeit a bit hipster), and the drinks cold and delish. All good things.

Just an update after reading the first(and only) review– they do have food here now. It is just a few of the small bites offered on the Longman & Eagle menu. Same idea with the drinks, it’s a fraction of what they offer in the main area. They don’t have specific whiskey flights available either. We had a larger group and wouldn’t have been able to get into L&E, but were able to grab 4 of 6 tables here. Fairly quiet as it’s separated from the restaurant and so small. It’s a cute little garage space that was plenty warm and inviting on a January night.

Went to Longman and Eagle last night. It was very crowded(of course) and the hostess invited us to try the new Off Site Bar. The space was TINY. I think 6 tables in a row. You need to go up to the bar to order drinks, get water, etc. People also needed to clear off the drinks of the people who sat before them. Because of the close quarters and DIY nature of the place, everyone in the place was very friendly to each other and striking up conversations with the next table. We tried 3 of the 4 cocktails on the menu and all were good. I loved getting a seat at L&E on a Friday night at 9, but do have a few objections. To access the bathroom, you have to run outside all the way to the front entrance and then navigate through the entire place. Apparently, when the weather is nicer, they will open the back door to make this easier. Still, not fun in 20 degree weather. Also, they offered no food options. It would be nice if they offered a few simple snacks at least. All in all, a cool experience.
