Ok Heating and Cooling

With a recommendation from a friend we had Joe from OK Heating come out for a quote back in early July. We needed a new furnace and duct work done in one of the units of our building. He came through and inspected the job, laid out exactly what he would do and sent us a quote a few days later. Everything lined up with what we wanted so we gave him the go ahead.
Fast forward to now, the end of September and no work has been done on our building. They do not return phone calls. They do not show up on the set date to start work. At least twice they blew us off the day we were expecting them to arrive. When we would call Joe he would give us excuses about things coming up. We had all of the preliminary demolition and construction done in anticipation of their arrival and 3 months later we are still waiting for them to even return a phone call. After several attempts to contact Joe or anyone at his company my fiancé finally spoke with him this morning (He blew us off again on the day he was supposed to start work).
He told us that it’s getting cold outside, and we should look for another company.
To say that I am disappointed with OK Heating and Joe’s professionalism would be an understatement. We had work under contract and all we expected in return for our money was for them to do the job they said they would do. I have worked with many, many contractors in my life and this might be the worst experience I have ever had.
I would NOT advise doing any sort of work with this company. It a miracle they are still in business.

I was referred to Paolo at OK Heating by a family friend. At first he was fantastic, responsive, quick turnaround time to come out and take a look at our issue, gave what seemed to be sound advice. I have now wasted (and waited) over 6 weeks for his service quote. I’ve called, emailed, followed up by email…
The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is that when I did meet him initially in person he was great. I just wish OK Heating would either send a quote OR tell us they can’t do the work. At this point we have to move on as we need to get our issues repaired.

Very pleased with the work and integrity Joe and his crew have. I would recommend them as we will be using them going forward for our properties.

Every time I look up the number I get the 1 star review. I had to counteract this. I’ve been using OK since 1993 when my wall furnace went on the fritz. OK was the only company that would even look at it. They maintained those wall furnaces (I had 4 apartments with them) for 13 years. Now in my 3 flat they are maintaining my AC and furnace units. They come out at short notice, are affordable, and do a good job. I’ve been a satisfied customer now for more than 18 years.

‘ok’ is an overstatement. OK Heating installed the furnace in our condo prior to our purchase of our home. For three years we had problems with the furnace and would call them to come out to take a look at it. If we could get a hold of them (only in the morning between 7:30−8am) they would come out ‘when they were available’ which translates to ‘take the entire day off of work’ and would only look at the furnace for 30 minutes — tops — and say they fixed it. Almost immediately after they left, the same issue would surface. I am embarrassed that we stuck with this for three years! Thank goodness we have a fireplace! We FINALLY called a different company and in one day and a repair man out, during a time window they established, and had the furnace fixed. Save your time and money, go with someone else.
