Original Expressions

I strongly recommend against doing business with this company.
Original Expressions bills itself as providing custom invitations and stationery. We stopped in before Thanksgiving, selected paper stock, and asked for a quote. Frankie, one of the owners, sent us a quote on 2 December. I responded via e-​mail on 4 December… crickets chirped… and Frankie sent us an e-​mail on 9 December, the contents of which clearly indicated that she had not read my message from 4 December.
Despite this warning sign, we decided to continue working with the company. We submitted art files for our wedding invitations and RSVP cards on 23 December and were assured that these files were sufficient.
On 15 January, more than 3 weeks after we sent the initial files, we were told that revised files were necessary. We submitted the requested files on 17 January, only to be contacted on 21 January with the request to send a third set of art files and notification that additional charges will appear on the bill.
After discussing the latest setback with my fiancé, I called the store this morning to give the owners a final chance to set things right. My phone call was made at 11:10, ten minutes after the store opened. Appropriately, nobody answered the phone.
More appropriately, Original Expressions will not get our business.

I had a very delightful experience working with the owners on helping me pick out a gift for my friend’s daughter’s birthday party. I was on a limited budget and I never felt like I was being up-​sold. The owners were very creative and not pushy in helping me find the perfect gift assortment. There are many different items to choose from, toys, books, clothing, hair accessories, and more. I even found a hostess gift for my friend. In addition, the store holds children’s book reading and photo sessions.

Might be the worst shopping experience of my life! The staff was unhelpful, unfriendly and actually unknowledgable. I ordered something there over a month and a half ago and I have never even received it yet! First it was stolen, then it was lost, then they forgot… and they never even called me to tell me, I had to keep hounding them. I would highly recommend against this place. there stuff is decently cute, but way overpriced. this is also the first review I’ve ever written b/​c I’m so steamed at how awful the service was!
