Ossip Optometry

Dr. Magallanes was great she was very attentive and did the eye exam good. I hate going to eye doctor but having her was pleasant. Got some really nice coach glasses.

I have been going to Cottone/​Ossip for less than two years and have already had enough. Their website states that they accept Davis eyecare, but when I came in for my first appointment I was told they do not. That should have been a red flag, but I had high hopes for this place. Dr. Panos and his assistants are very thorough and kind. I didn’t mind paying out of pocket at first. However, after a misunderstanding about my contact lenses, I received an extremely rude voicemail from one of the women at the front desk. I’m tired of the attitude, I didn’t pay hundreds out of pocket to be disrespected by a bunch of grumpy women. Bye Felicias!

Consumer beware! Customer service is terrible! With the exception of one employee named Dawn, the rest of them could care less and made me feel like I was bothering them. They also try to sell you the most expensive products first and then give you other options once you balk at the initial price. Had to go back twice because prescription on glasses was wrong. After the second visit, and spending more than $ 400, I just gave up and still can’t see the way I should. I wish I could give it a rating of zero, this place truly sucks!!!

I’ve been going here for 13 years and I never had a problem until the new «Ossip Optometry» firm took the place of Cottone Family Eye Care. Dr. Panos is great, but the women at the front desk were absolutely awful and rude. I was there a few months ago to return my contacts and the manager was so condescending and rude, I actually had to ask her to stop being so rude TWICE. In the last two years, there wereTHREE times I was showed up at least a half hour before their written closing time, and they were already locked up with the lights off. I’m so disappointed in what this place has become since Cottone left. So after attending for 13 years, I will be finding a new optometrist. Do not go here.
