Consistently honest, fair, and respectful. They do a great job, get it done quickly, and keep you informed of what’s going on the whole time. They are happy to answer questions, explain problems, and refer you to another reputable place if the work needed is something they don’t do. These guys are great & I’d recommend them unconditionally. I drive almost 20 miles to bring my car to Our Town. Good job guys!

My father and I have been brining our vehicles to John and Chuck for almost 10 years which will end as of today. I had a flat tire that i was able to fill and make it to our town just before it went flat again. I spoke with Chuck and asked about buying 2 new tires. Chuck stated they didn’t stock tires and it would be awhile. Ok, that I understood. I asked Chuck if he could assist me to get my spare on because my tire iron is missing and I’m on the way to work. Chuck told me he was to busy and to go down the street to Irving park and try just tires. Thanks for nothing Chuck. I Will not recommend Our Town to anyone anymore, zero loyalty.

All I can speak to is their customer service, which is terrible enough to ensure I never have any work done by them. I called today to make an appointment to bring my car in. I began to explain that it was idling a little rough and that I expected it needed spark plugs but just wanted to get it checked out, and the man who answered my call cut me off and started lecturing me about how I shouldn’t be diagnosing my car, thats for a mechanic to do, and that if he does the spark plugs that won’t fix the problem blah blah blah. I was so taken aback by his horrible customer service that I just let him know that I would be bringing my business elsewhere. Maybe they have no respect for women, maybe they have no respect for anyone, but it is a miracle they get any business at all!

You know, at first I was going to them because they were not far from my house and I thought it was out of convenience that I would only have them service my vehicle for minor repair issues, like burnt out fuses, replacing old brakes or even replace a battery. But when my truck started breaking down beyond the typical wear and tear issues I kept going to them because many times they would go over the diagnostic process a bit more thoroughly and they would even inform me of issues that I wasn’t aware of without that strong arm tactic that I would need this or that in order to get my vehicle fully functional again. They were very forward with their assessment, very honest (which in my opinion is practically a lost virtue) and if they were to inform me what their limitations were as far as what they could or couldn’t do, they were not afraid to tell me to go seek a special technician to replace this or that. Who does that? An honest business person that’s who. They tell you how it is and I guess I get taken aback by this forward approach. But you know, they earned my trust because of that. Always helpful and courteous; and really you can’t beat their prices, you actually get what you pay for and then some. i always thought that the automotive repair business (at least with the people that I met) would be swarmy, snarky, dishonest and disreputable, but truth be told Our Town kind of change my perception of automotive repair shops or at least changed my perception when it comes to dealing with them. Thanks Our Town.

One can only imagine what motivated one «reviewer» to label this place as dishonest or uncooperative when in fact Our Town is known far and wide as a reputable, honest and affordable establishment. Chuck and John are the best at what they do. I have referred a number of patrons to Our Town and many drive many miles just to have their cars serviced there… When you find a skilled and honest mechanic you dont let go. Our Town is five star.

These are the most honest and helpful people out there. They are considerate and kind as well as informative. I will always being my car here and recommend it to my friends and family. Our Town has consistently provided me with A+ customer service.

We purchased tires from a major chain and the purchase included free tire rotation as well as a free evaluation of other major parts on the car, which usually results in a repair estimate that exceeds $ 1000.00. I took the car to Our Town and Chuck told me that technically the repairs were necessary, according to the manufacturer’s specs. However, Chuck said that the repairs weren’t needed at the time and that we could probably get away with 20,000 mile more until it was necessary to make the repairs (nothing involving safety-​related issues). Chuck is always honest in his assessment, does fine work, the shop is clean, the employees are respectful and the prices are reasonable.
I recommend Our Town unconditionally.

This is a FANTASTIC Auto Repair Center in Chicago !
I needed my Brakes repaired fast, and I had noticed this shop on my daily walks. I went in and the 1^st thing I noticed how Absolutely Clean the waiting room was. Most car repair shops look like a complete Disaster, NOT Here; I have seen Hospitals that were Not as Clean and Organized as Our Town Auto Center.
Chuck took Fantastic care of me.
Answered all of my questions in a professional manner, and provided me with all of the details I needed to make an informed decision on the work that needed to be done Now, as well as what could be put off until later.
The workmanship is 1^st Class!
The car was tested Before And After the work was Done and the Price for a Complete Front Brake job, Oil Change, and Brand New Battery was just a bit over $ 450 !
And the work was completed in 1 Day !!
