I went in Oct with my 2.5 yo. I got a Living Social deal also and was looking forward to trying a new company. Once I walked in it was a bit suspect. The concept is great but thats it. Too much stuff going on in the lobby! The staff is great, the manager was very warm and seemed to have some good experience with dealing with clients. I thought the place needed a good cleaning, re organization and paint job! They haven’t been around a long time, but Geez! We went to get my child a natural style, twists or braids something very simple. They wanted to Flat iron and blow dry Two year old hair!!! No discussion about options, my stylist was nice but no conversation, no soothing skills for my child who was upset about all the action in her hair and getting her hair washed. I made funny faces and redirected her while getting her hair washed to get her through it… I would think this would be a part of their customer service skills!(they start at 1 y. o) Me thinks not! I like to support a new business, but it seems like they just don’t want it. I have one more voucher, I may pass it on to someone who doesn’t have much expectation for quailty spa services. Oh and I asked ahead if they took Credit cards, which they told me yes, but when I had to pay, the machine wasn’t hooked up correctly so I have to scramble and get cash!

I took my daughter here for her 6th birthday because they had a spa package deal and she is such a girly girl. That and the fact that I bought a Living Social deal a couple of weeks prior to. :-) I guess I will start with the good things first. The lady who I spoke with on the phone was extremely pleasant.(which is why they get 2 stars instead of 1) I am not sure if she is the owner or not but she has great customer service. She was even very pleasant and accommodating when I went to the salon. Unfortunately, that is where my good ends and I almost feel so guilty writing my review because SHE was such a nice lady… Upon entering, I knew that I had made a wrong decision. The front waiting room was cluttered with all types of stuff included Mylar balloons and stuffing for build a bear-ish activities. I am assuming that is all for the party packages that they have but I just thought it would be better suited in another room. My daughter had the mini mani, pedi, facial and hair do. I was very specific about the color that I wanted on her nails because I didn’t want anything too loud and grown for her. Apparently, there was mix up because she ended up with the exact thing that I didn’t want her to have. It really wasn’t that big of deal but the girl who polished her nails didn’t seem to have any remorse or concern which kinda peed me off. We shouldve ended our visit at nails polishing… The same girl did her hair and I was not impressed ATALL. We opted for a press and style. When I asked her about how long it would take she told me 20 minutes. REDFLAG… again, I shouldve left. Anywho, my daughter left looking like she never had her hair styled. Her ponytails were uneven and it looked as if her hair was barely touched by the flat iron. I was VERY dissatisfied because my bill was $ 75.00 and she only had nails painted the wrong color to show for it. For a moment I was thinking maybe we shouldve gotten her hair braided, but then I saw a finished product coming from the chair and knew that would’ve been an epic fail as well. I will be sticking with my tried, true and trusted Kiddie Kuts from now on… which reminds me, I need to write a review on them as well…
