I made an appointment with PARC a few years ago when I started having panic attacks. A lot of people have them when life is too hectic to cope or make sense of. I got a lot of positive and inspiring feedback from their website, which was filled with stories of hope and thanks for the life changing therapies that PARC provided. A lot of people thanked Mark, the director of the program personally. I didn’t think that was odd until I met him. The intake was just Mark and I sitting in an office. Mark didn’t seem to take my issues seriously and rolled his eyes every time I mentioned a panic episode. He told me that since I was still having panic that I might be a «lost cause» and told me that he didn’t believe that I was mugged in an alley«because things like that just don’t happen anymore.» I left without paying for the interrogation, I mean interview. It was that bad! The«program» is remarkably expensive and like a boot camp to knock those anxieties back in to line. It was a place void of any compassion or caring, which is what most people who seek services from places like PARC need. I would suggest going to a therapist who deals with anxiety. It would be cheaper and you would get more out of the experience. Sorry PARC, but you suck.
