You know what’s better then good pizza? Living a block away from an amazing pizza place. My first experience with this place was ordering a pizza for my roommate and I. It was affordable, VERY delicious and made in good time. My second experience, when I had gotten out of a rough relationship and was«dating myself». On that second visit is when I learned to love them, for the self-dates. They have a cheap meal for one, type of thing, or a cute little date at a hole in the wall. $ 6 for 2 – 3HUGE slices of pizza + a can of pop. It’s simple, very effective, especially if you’re gonna sit in the restaurant which is never busy, and read a book while enjoying«me» time. :) I highly recommend this place. If anything, take yourself on a date and bring a good book. PS. The canoli’s are to-die-for!

I ordered a pizza and the delivery man couldn’t get through. I was waiting downstairs and get horrible reception in my house. When I opened the door after getting a voicemail the delivery man yelled at and scolded me saying that he had tried to call me 7 times. On top of that, he dropped my pizza on the ground and had to go back to bring me another one. I felt very disrespected for something that wasn’t my fault. I will not be returning but will be requesting a full refund.

I love me some pizza and this place has some of the best in Chicago. After years of trying to find one, Paula and Monica’s has become my go-to pizza joint.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered pizza and was charged. Over 1 hour and 45 minutes later, no pizza and the restaurant doesn’t know where the delivery driver is. Avoid.

There are few pizzas in Chicago where the ingredients are so fresh and delicious that you can taste each one individually, Paul and Monica’s Pizza is one of them. The pizza makes my mouth water just thinking about my delivery to arrive, which they say«45 min» but usually takes 20. Very pleased with the pizza and great service.

Pizza was fantastic. And as a ny style, you won’t feel like you’ve swallowed a loaf of bread and wheel of cheese for days. Do not deliver. Took 90 mins. Worth the trip to pick up though. Had a veggie. Phenomenal.

Best deep dish I’ve had in Chicago so far. Meat lovers was awesome! The crust is what makes it. It’s perfect. Friendly staff and is great for ordering out. Seats if you can’t wait until you get home.

Terrible experience ordering delivery from here– so bad that I held off a month to settle down so I didn’t unfairly blast this business in anger. After cooling off, I still think this place deserves a 1-star review, so here goes. I order a half cheese, half Italian beef and giardiniera pizza– the cheese part being for my vegetarian friend. My first complaint was the delivery took forever– not sure why because we didn’t order during peak hours or anything. Second complaint was the pizza upon arrival– as you can tell from the pic I posted, it was not a half-and-half pizza like we ordered; the entire thing was covered in ingredients, making it «inedible» for my vegetarian friend. Also, the Italian beef was not Italian beef– it was like brisket or something and really, really dry. To top it off, the pizza was soggy and clearly undercooked. I ate half a piece and we threw the rest away– it was that disgusting(I should mention I grew up poor and do NOT throw away food, so this was a drastic measure). I called to complain and no answer, so I submitted a complaint via email through their website, requesting a refund and for a manager to call. No one ever did. With a pizza place in every block, there are much better options– avoid this place at all costs.

Great food, nice people and I feel proud to not support a chain. It’s nice to have a place to go to that has quality pizza that’s non wood fired. BBQ pizza and meat lovers are ones not to miss.

Just visiting Chicago for a couple nights and were looking for a pizza place in walking distance. We were specifically looking for pizza-by-the-slice and saw that they did that here. $ 6 gets you a «jumbo» slice, which is huge. Nice they cut it into 4 smaller slices for you. When we finished the guy in back asked how everything was. We told him great and he was very appreciative. I would recommend this place.

BESTPIZZAINCHICAGO! Cam upon this place by accident, and crave their pizza constantly. Whenever I have a party, I order their pizza, and everyone is dying to know where I got it.

So yes it was a little odd when we first walked into the place. My wife, who has a much keener sense of smell than myself, identified the small as a bit moldy. I just thought it smelled off. Regardless, we didn’t eat there, we took it to go. I ordered the large pizza slice $ 6 with a can of soda and she a medium pizza slice at $ 4. I am pretty sure the pizza slices were actually the same size, just cut differently. But I felt they were really tasty slices! I will definitely come back for more slices especially since the pickings in the area for slices are thin(just like the crust!). Oh yes, it was thin sliced which is my preferred slice. Nice and toasty with cornbread bottom. There were plenty of pepperoni, not drowning in it but also not short of a cheese. I read the cheese is the best there so I need to check that out. BYOB too yo! And internet! So bring a six pack and your tablet and hang out I guess.

It’s not quite Chicago Style but it’s good! The Pizza was made to order and took twenty minutes to cook. By the time we walked it home it was the perfect temperature not to hot and not cold. I really enjoyed every piece of it. :-D

1÷22÷14 Upgreeeyyyyyed: Quality/Taste metric updated to 4 out of 5 because of their specialty pizzas. They don’t skimp on the bacon on the meat lovers, and the margarita while not truly«authentic» was tasty and well rounded. Price bumped up to 4 out of 5 as well. With the Eat24 online site, the coupon deals are reeeeediculously good. Overall, gets bumped up to a 4.

Popped into this small pizza spot for a quick bite with a friend. The pizza is NY style and there are a lot of different sizes to choose from, including by the slice. They also have appetizers, salads, and sandwiches. I got the medium pepperoni slice for $ 3(see picture for idea of size). The pizza was pretty good, the crust nice and crisp. My friend got garlic bread and I tried some but didn’t like it. One drawback was they didn’t have a soda fountain, so if you want water you have to buy a bottle. But the owner is really friendly, and location is convenient right on Chicago ave.
