What happened to Payless? I used to come in to buy fall and winter boots, but was surprised by my last visit. $ 70 for a pair of boots! What used to cost $ 40 is now $ 70. When did they increase their prices so much? I no longer feel like I’m shopping at Payless, it’s become pay more. It’s funny that Payless thinks it can increase its prices and compete with stores like DSW who’s shoes cost the same price, are name brand, and better quality. Never again.

Easily summed up as, «We don’t give a shit» for customer service. Someone came over and asked me what I was looking for, I told her a pair of boots, at which point she asked my size, I told her and she said, «oh yeah, you’re in the right area» and left. WTF? Show me some goddamn boots, at least ask what my price range is and style so we can figure out of you’ve got what I’m looking for. I wouldn’t even be that mad except she’s talking to some friends of hers at the register as I type this… still. So fuck it this place gets zero dollars from me. One extra star because some of their clearance shoes have great prices, but fuck all of I’m going to buy them.

I have to confess, I am always in Payless when I need shoes — wide calf boots abound here! however, Payless has changed their pricing and the title is now misleading. you could pay 60 bucks for a pair of boots here, which is competitive with other stores that do not advertise themselves as discount. This store has been very helpful. Their old staff was the best and there was this little older man who was so helpful. Then they underwent a staffing change, and there is one manager and one young lady who are very nice and helpful, and there is a sassy manager who is hard to deal with. it won’t stop me from coming here, though! this payless is often not crowded and parking is found easily.

This is the best payless EVER!!! I have been here twice in the last two weeks and both times had a different set of staff there. Both times the employees were super friendly and VERYHELPFUL. NO attitudes flying around here. I really appreciated the customer service here. They are quick to suggest things and help you find the right shoe. No pressure either, just a bunch of friendly smiling folks. The prices are not bad and there is always a $ 2 coupon you can earn if you do a survey and you can add it to any % off special or coupon. I got a pair of shoes for $ 11 something with that $ 2 off coupon and 25% off coupon code online. Should have forked out $ 20 so I left extra happy with my Patent Nude flats.

I should be doing other things, like finding a cardigan to go with my dress… but instead I’m on here, moping about how the one shoe that fit AND I liked AND went with my dress only had ONE shoe. The other was nowhere to be found. Thanks Payless. Thanks a lot. I’m now going to be «that guy» at the wedding who is wearing flip flops, because my heels are sooo last season. I used to enjoy Payless, as much as one can enjoy shoe shopping, but this store drives me nuts. The selection always varies from size to size and their sizes never seem consistent. Plus, it’s frequently a mess. Shoes everywhere, only one to be found or people trying on shoes without footies. Ewwww. However, their selection has definitely gotten cuter over the years. Sometimes. Right now they have adorable boots, but WHY must every flat have a big stupid bow on it and why must every heel be 5″? With jeans? Sure, but for a wedding… noooo. Just, no.

BOGO! Buy one get one half off. You can find really cute inexpensive shoes at Payless. But beware, you get what you pay for. Although you spend much less, the quality isn’t that great either. They don’t last that long but for someone who changes style and fashion so often, it may not be a bad idea. Particularly at this location, I find that they don’t carry many smaller sizes. Their 5 or 5.5 section is tiny compared to the rest of the store. Also their sizes seem much bigger than other stores. I typically fit a size 7 but at Payless, I have to wear a 5.5 or 6. Other than that, have fun shopping the latest trends. They have very stylish boots and flats. They also offer ship-to-store for free. You can ship from online to the store for free but you’ll have to wait at least 2 – 3 weeks.
