Overall great experience. Lahmacun was ok, if they add a little more ingredients it will be perfect l. Pide was fantastic.

I can’t tell you how good the food is, you gotta try it!!! Every time I order, it is delicious food and perfect service! Lahmacun and Pide is as good it is as it would be in Turkey. Thanks Guys, keep up the great work!

Very slow service. I asked in advance how long it would take to get the thing I ordered and they said ‘5 min’. It took 30 minutes… If it is going to take 30 min, just say so. Why do you say 5 min?

Good place for a quick and reasonably priced bite, right off the El.

This place is kind of an extension to i-café next door. They share the kitchen and the menu. I asked the waiter and he said pide and lahmacoun is more family oriented. It is but it is kind of a small place. However, the food is excellent. They have great lahmacouns and pides. Nicely baked nicely prepared doughs. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in Turkish style pizza(pide).

It is a very very small café. However as we were told they make the best ever calzones which I totally agree. Mind you, once we travelled to Phoenix from Ca to eat some really good calzones. We also tried the other kind ‘lahmacun’ which was pretty good as well. Low prices, friendly service. They’re a bit slow though. Perhaps because they cook everything to order. Food-wise a true jewel.

I enjoyed the lahmacun, the excellent service, and the hearteningly strong black tea.

This is a hole in the wall place but serves up some great food. It’s a small but pretty nice casual spot that mainly specializes in a few Turkish things that resemble pizza. They also serve up drinks like tea, coffee, salep, and ayran. I’m a huge fan of lahmacun and this place pretty much serves up the best I’ve had in town. In fact, it’s just as good as anything I’ve had in Turkey. The pides are pretty good as well!

Almost universally great food. The pides and lahmacuns(if I recall correctly) are almost like an open-faced calzone and a flatbread pizza, respectively. There are a few variations on them, and I particularly like the ones with the ground beef. You can also add egg on the top of the pides, which… why wouldn’t you. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is because I thought the lentil soup could have used more flavor. Otherwise, no complaints.

I like the place. Nice, inviting, byob, good pides, and also good sandwiches at their restaurant next door. Wish they had specials on the pides.

This place is a hidden gem, tucked right under the el tracks. Venture there! You will not find nicer people making this authentic food. Lahmacun is a food whose lack of notoriety in this city appalls me; it’s delicious, full of unique flavors, not at all greasy, and runs you under $ 5 for a satisfying meal. The pide is amazing too, although a bit more expensive; still, for a $ 13.00 pide(think Turkish calzone) that will easily serve two people, it’s not bad at all by my estimation. A great place to pick up takeout(or dine in) on your way off the train. Let’s give this place all the business we can.

Excellent Turkish pizza? I had not known this exists. They describe pide as similar to a calzone. I suppose it does resemble calzone in ways but the ingredients are definitely Eurasian. If you order beef, rest assured it will contain lamb as well. This is a good thing in my book. I did not care for the thinner pizza as much, but the pide was very tasty and satisfying.

I love this place. I wish it were closer to me, but I will drive my butt down to North Center for Pides and Lahmacuns. It’s a small little joint with only a handful of tables(mainly two seaters). If you’re getting the Pides, expect to wait about 15 – 20 minutes for them to make it. But the wait is oh so worth it. There are about 7 different pides to choose from. I got the traditional pide with ground beef and cheese. I wish I read one more line on the wall menu because I would have added an egg to mine! They have a lunch special with half pide and soup or salad. For the amount of food and price, getting lunch there is definitely worth it! But again, if you’re expecting to walk in and walk out, be warned about that wait time. The owners are so accommodating and sweet, especially the wife! My friend and I told her we came just to try her restaurant, and she gave us free dessert! The description of the place on Unilocal is kinda misleading. It’s not pizza. At the restaurant, they say pide is kind of like a calzone, but they’re just trying to make the food more accessible to people who’ve never had Turkish food. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it! Even if you’re not in the area like me, go try it too~

I was mostly excited to try the salep drink. I watch Shahs of Sunset and they drink that at family gatherings so I was interested to see what it tasted like. It was really good. I’m extremely picky when it comes to meat so I probably should’ve ordered the vegetarian Pide. But the ground beef one was pretty good, my dining partner enjoyed it. We even had enough left to take home. The woman working was so friendly and sweet. I will definitely go back.
