Sketchy store. Gave me the runaround when I ordered an item online from the Pier 1 website to be delivered to the store. The item has magically disappeared, and in multiple calls I have heard either that the item has not been delivered, or that it has been already picked up, or that the order is not in the system(after I’ve provided my name, before I provided the order number). In multiple calls, they have also said that they would check for more information and call me back, but in all the times I’ve called in the past two months to check on this order, I have never, never received a call back. This place is backed up by a corporation, but it is either irreconcilably disorganized or sketchy. I am still waiting for a refund for an item that I never received. I have advised my friends and family of my experience with this store because I do not wish them to experience the same horrible experience trying to buy a simple item, and I advise others that it is not worth the hassle to purchase from Pier 1 versus so other stores in Chicago with similar items but more reliable staff.

The store and the products they sell are fine enough. JUSTBEAWARE that the parking lot«security» is sitting in her car just waiting to attach a boot to your car and charge you $ 140 to take it off. After shopping at Pier 1, you are not allowed to cross the street to grab coffee from Starbucks or cross the street to pick up anything from Whole Foods. Yours may be the only car on this lot, but they DONOTCARE. I am boycotting all the stores(Pier 1, Blick, Old Navy etc) who share this parking lot security because they allow this unreasonable tactic to continue.
