Got delivery from here tonight. Tried the spinach and ricotta pizza and the 4 cheese. Both were white pizzas and I kinda wished we had grabbed something with some tomato sauce to mix it up. Regardless, the pizza was decent. Nothing particularly special though. I kind wished some of the ones we had seen pics of on Unilocal were still on the menu. Likely won’t be ordering from here again…

THE. BEST. Neapolitan pizza, west of Mergellina. Soul food for the expats. My daughters beg to go here any occasion we have. I am so glad they have stayed at their current location. Great space, great service, great patio, and the crust from my childhood… Buon Appetito!

Really good Neapolitan pizza that actually does delivery! The crust is a touch thicker for the style than normal, especially the crust. But its very well done. The sauce has a nice sweetness to it. The salami has a great big kick. A touch expensive but I’m a fan.

I ordered delivery from Pizza Da Nella through Caviar, which charges their own prices. $ 34 got me a plate sized pizza and a piece of tiramisu. I was pretty irritated when it arrived. The tiramisu was all smushed in the box, the pizza was cold and the cheese stringy, and it was all packed in pretty cheap materials. I stuck my pizza in the oven at 350 degrees, as they recommended. The pizza was thin and delicate, and regardless of how careful I was with handling, the middle sunk in and broke when I moved it. Unfortunately, in order to heat the middle and get it warm again, the crust got a little burned. When I tasted it, I was already seething at this completely disappointing meal. But, it was good! Not amazing. Good. It was sloppy and everything slid right off the pizza, and damn near impossible to eat, but it was good. I ate it and enjoyed it. The tiramisu was excellent. That said, this restaurant is clearly not equipped for delivery. These are not the kind of pizzas that are appropriate for delivery — not by a long shot. And I did after all have to reheat it as soon as it got here, which beats the point of getting easy delivery. I’d eat here, but I strongly recommend against delivery. This is a terrible place from which to get your pizza delivered.

Overall: Decent food and good service, but the pizza lacked the quality I thought it would have. The good: Good service that was friendly and fast. Good sized portions. Food came out quickly. The bad: The pizza was cold and seemed under cooked. It was soggy and just sloppy overall. Too expensive for what it is as well. The restaurant had a lot of kids, which is great for their biz and I’m sure is in their business model, but it was loud. Atmosphere: 7⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Food: 6⁄10

It’s more 3.5 stars. There were SOMANYKIDS! It was loud and horrible because of all the kids and all the kids running around. At 7pm on Saturday night. There weren’t many screaming crying kids yet there were lots of screaming kids, so the restaurant had _that_going for them. Did I mention kids? So many kids. The food was alright. The free bread wasn’t great. Somewhat dry and mealy even with the olive oil. The mista salad was good yet salty. The margarita pizza was good yet the sauce was a little acidic. The basil was potent and good. The crust was warm(not hot) in the middle, yet it had a bite and tasted good. The crust was the best part of the dinner. The service was good. 22% tip worthy. Overall a good pizza yet there are better which I’m not going to mention because I don’t want kids at my spots. Did I mention the kids?!? We’ll never be back because of the kids.

Went on a date here last night, and I must say. this may be my new favorite Neapolitan pizza place in the whole city. The brick oven taste in each bite screamed authenticity and the workings of a true Italian pizza chef. We ordered a white pizza with sausage and peppers and a tomato sauce pizza with gorgonzola, basil and sweet salami. They were both incredible. I was surprised to see a variety of authentic Italian beers, both in bottles and on draft. I tried a delicious Italian brew called, «Baladin Super Floreale», which is similar to a Belgium tripel. It was fantastic! The restaurant itself is beautiful inside and very spacious. The patio is delightful, and spacious as well. It’s glittered with cute twinkly lights that were strung on the trees; love it. I was shocked to see that they were pouring wine into small cocktail glasses and not wine glasses… It was a major turn off, and made me happy that my boyfriend and I didn’t splurge on a bottle of wine. We saw a few couples with bottles of wine on their table and they were drinking out of those small glasses… No, no, no! Somehow we managed to save room for dessert, and ordered the tiramisu. It was superb! I highly recommend it. The staff is kind. They take reservations, and they also deliver. Pizzeria de Nella is a hidden gem in the west Lincoln Park area. I am so happy that I found this place, and I will be back ASAP to try other items on the menu such as their calzones, risotto, and their dessert nutella pizza! Yum!

Aside from one dessert we didn’t love, the food was amazing and they were so sweet when I forgot to add a drink to my take out order. New go to for sure.

Seemed authentic but I thought it was a little overrated as my pizza didn’t have a lot of flavor.

I love coming here. I speak Italian and I always feel like I’m in Italy when I come here since there are so many native Italians. The food is great, too, but the only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because they charge extra for buffala mozzarella, something they didn’t do when they first opened. I’m not sure if it’s because families in the neighborhood like regular mozzarella more, but I find it to be a tragedy that they don’t prepare everything with the traditional fresh mozzarella. Anyway, their truffle risotto, rigatoni ragu, and diavola pizza are among my favorites. And don’t forget their dessert! It’s some of the best outside of Italy.

Got delivery over the weekend from a new place since my regular pizza delivery wasn’t open yet: margarita pizza — good flavor and liked that it was uncut so I could stick it back in the oven to crisp up… melanzane– eggplant was good, needed some salt… main annoyance was that it didn’t come with any bread– big ol bowl of sautéed eggplant and tomato with nothing to eat it with panna cotta– a little too much on the sweet side but it was fine Would try something different if I ordered again…

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. The ingredients are so fresh and delicious! The first time I went I had planned on getting something other than pizza but I ordered a second pizza because the first was so amazing! I also love how you don’t feel heavy out weighed down because it is light and fresh food!

Yum… fricken yummmm! I came with some friends starvin like Marvin. I ordered on of the calzones –Fricito I think it’s called. So HUGE it was! And DELISH. The fat kid inside of me rejoiced and was exceedingly glad! I would have taken a pic. but it got in my belly the moment the food runner brought it out. I’ll update y’all on more later on! P. S. If you’re Sexy and ya know it… they have Argentine Tango Dancing in the Bar upstairs!

Went to Pizzeria da Nella with a group of 4 on a Friday night around 7:30 pm. There was no wait and they even seated my friend by himself who got there first, which is nice. The restaurant is bigger than it appears from the outside and I think they have an outdoor section too which just wasn’t open that night. The décor is pretty modern; it looks like they’ve been to IKEA once or twice… Service was okay. Our waiter was a little aloof and the busboys were a little slow with water. The food came out pretty quickly after ordering it which is a nice perk of thin crust pizza. I ordered the Diavola pizza, which turned out to be really good! The sauce was rather spicy and I really enjoyed the salami on top. One of my friends got the simple Margarita pizza and loved it. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and there were no leftovers when we finished. This is a great place to get more authentic«Neapolitan» style pizza. I would say I like Spacca Napoli a smidge or two better, but I would definitely come back to da Nella!

I’ve been here a few times, but have never been overly impressed with the pizza. There’s a white pizza with arugula that we’ve tried, but it’s not outstanding. The outdoor area is large, so that’s great for summer. Service has been hit or miss.

Ordered a Funghi e Salsiccia pizza, Annarella pizza and the Pere e Gorgonzola salad for pick up last night. Everything was ok, but definitely not to the level I expected after reading previous reviews. For example, neither pizza was cut. Maybe you have to dine it to get it cut?

First time here and it definitely satisfied my pizza craving! We tried the smoked mozzarella and speck pizza and it was perfectly crispy and delicious. Would like to try a different pie next time!

Quaint Napoletana Pizza Joint. Great service for a Saturday night during peak hours. It was not too crowded and our Server was very knowledgeable about the menus. 1st up ciabatta, olive oil, and parmesan — if you like Balsamic Vinegar with your olive oil, you’ll have to ask for it. We order drinks, I got a Martini and my girlfriend got a Pinot Grigio, basic, but apparently you have to ask for olive for the Martini. For appetizers we had: Sauté’ misto $ 9.99 Sautéed Mussels, clams, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, white wine, parsley — it was very tasty, especially if you are a garlic fan like myself! Main Course we shared a pizza: Prosciutto e Rucola — $ 13.99 White pizza, smoked mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, parmesan, topped with an over easy egg. A definate revisit when we are in that area(usually during movie night!)

Pizzeria da Nella is a must go for amazing Naples style pizza. Each time I’ve visited Chicago, about 2/3rds of our meals are made up of pizza. While we typically eat really healthy, the husband equates a visit to Chicago with the excuse to indulge in pizza so, apart from breakfast, that’s seriously all we eat. Pizzeria da Nella was perfect — it’s a cute spot with very authentic Naples style pizza. We ordered the margherita and the zucchini pizza. I highly recommend both — they were fantastic. We also ordered an Italian beer that I had never tried before — Collesi ambrata. I’m not a big beer drinker but this was likely the best beer I’ve ever had. If you’re in the mood for Italian style pizza, I highly recommend paying Pizzeria da Nella a visit.
