I absolutely love the food here it’s kinda expensive but to me I think it is worth it.

They skimp on portion size. Too expensive for what you get. Chicken is over breaded. No honey for biscuits. Bad news.

This popeyes is always slow… slower than others I been to. Every time I go to this location, I have to pull over and wait, the drive thru line is mostly backed up, and some of the girls in there have attitudes, and they never put napkins and hot sauce in da bag… that suppose to come in the bag without asking for it.

The argument between the two managers on 5÷21÷15 should not have affected your customers. Elouise C. Refused to take customer orders or prepare customer orders because she and another manager were arguing in front of customers. I have never seen managers behave this way and both shouldve been fired on the spot. Very unacceptable behavior! I love Popeye’s Chicken but will never return as a customer to this location.

They’re always out of SOMETHING(shrimp, chicken strips, bread for Po’Boys) and they are SLOW. If I’m going through the drive-thru, I don’t want to pull my car over and wait 20 minutes for you to bring my food out.

I like this Popeyes. Sometimes they are a little slow, but so is every Popeyes located in the hood. I’ve been eating Popeyes all my life, unlike the other reviewers who simply go because they work at the hospital across the street. Unlike the other Popeyes I’ve been to, at this I’ve never bit into a piece of spoiled chicken(Crestwood Popeyes, Blue Island Popeyes), when you ask for spicy its actually spicy, the people who work here aren’t all silly high school kids, its usually a bit cleaner, food is always hot, and as of yet they haven’t ran out of Chicken(Riverdale Popeyes, West Pullman Popeyes)

This location delivered me my first experience of Popeye’s fried chicken, and my first fried chicken in 14 years. The dining choices of the neighborhood were fried fish, fried chicken, or fried TVP/animal byproduct, or otherwise known as Long John Silver’s, Popeye’s, Church’s or Taco Bell. I was exactly expecting a Whole Foods hotbar lunch to be available in the neighborhood, but I didn’t think they’d be that limited. The chicken and cashiers were behind bullet-proof glass, ensuring no one will hold up Popeye’s chicken for copious amounts of fried chicken and cash and get away with it. I received my chicken lunch through a bank-like swiveling glass opening in the bullet-proof glass. I had chicken tenders and green beans, and tried the red beans and rice and coleslaw side. Full jugs of Hawaiian punch and sweet tea were available to purchase, this I passed on. The chicken tenders were non-greasy, flavorful with a good crunchy crust. I have no idea what happens to the chickens to make them this way. The green beans were in a liquid I couldn’t identify, but they tastes like hot casseroled green beans. Definitely will try again when looking for lunch on Stony Island Avenue.

Betty I know you just won two prestigious awards, but I was in the hospital from eating red beans and rice. Food poisoning is the worst. I love Popeyes since I lived in New Orleans, and I hate to cast disparaging comments against the franchise — my heart aches. I will be back, probably not to this location, but eventually I will devour some Popeyes again.

This place sucks. They don’t know how to Handel crowds and they crack under pressure. The line was out the door and they still slow poking around with the orders.
